Man. Charge Blade is such a satisfying weapon. Glad to see I'm not the only one haha! Quick personal tip. If you hit attack 2 while charging your phials, it takes you into axe mode with an ED1, which you can use to get straight to an SAED when toppling monsters, lot quicker than charging your sword then doing a shield bash! Also, slinger burst in axe mode to get multiple forward overhead swings in a row, to replace dodge rolling for positioning!

MHW was the first monster hunter game i played. Charged blade was the first weapon i tried. my pea brain could not get used to it so i switched to a GS main all of world. Started playing rise with my brothers recently and trying out other things now but still scared of charged blade.

@danielbricker7204 charge blade is intimidating at first for sure. In terms of moveset, I think it is one of the more fluid and adaptive weapons! When i played the world demo, it was gunlance and charge blade that i played with for hours. And when i finally got world, i played a little insect glaive, too! Nothing wrong with GS, either. All weapons are meant for different hunters.

For me, charge blade is really weird because i learned basically everything except guard points within a few minutes in MH4U and liked it. Then i tried it in Rise and had to relearn everything but i did it within like 30 minutes and didn't like it in actual combat. Then i tried it again in Sunbreak and after more than 40 minutes in the training room i still wasn't able to charge my Shield and Sword 😅. So every time i try it out again, i get worse. I would have used a KZbin tutorial for it but the only Sunbreak CB Tutorial i found only showed PS Buttons 🙄

Did you do the wetfish fin + quest they are quite easy and fast to get, and the items helps so much on melee weapons sharpness management

​​​@@ASAG_YTts called a fish to wet your apetite. Capcom did great on end of life support on this game every thing you could want has a event quest that gives it(even the litle birds you missed earlier have garanteed spawns).

i like to lad a jumping morph to axe or morph to axe and saed of of it without shield pumping. you can just let it rip stationary with axe mode (dunno if you knew)

What I did there was that I attempted a Guard Point. You hold the Guard button (which would be Mouse 5 with a mouse that has two side buttons) and left-click. But my guard point didn’t get hit, so my weapon went into axe form and from there I just did an SAED (Super-Amped Element Discharge).
