As Brutii (VH VH) take Apollonia 1st turn, 1 unit stays. Take the rest to Sicily take Syracuse and Lilybeam, next take the always undefended Carthage. With Scipii blocked now turn your attention to Pataviam. Get it and then take Mediolanium. With these settlements your economy is booming and the other two factions are blocked. Take greece and steamroll the game

I usually don't bother going north and cutting off the Julii. Let them handle the gaulic and germanic nations. By the late game you'll have them completely outmatched anyway with Greece, Africa and Anatolia / Egypt

@@BlueMatona All true, but I enjoy cutting off the two other roman factions from their original settlements. Getting Massila as well makes my OCD feel good. Julii will sell you segesta as well. The senate gets mad but doesnt do anything. All of a sudden you have a circle around Italy.
