Good morning, BlueMatona. Scipii are my favorite faction. When I play them, in the opening moves, I like to buy mercenaries and conquer Sardinia-Corsica, (because I lived in Corsica for 2 years), and I also like to take Illyria up front for their gold and silver mines, then I deal with Syracuse.

Yes, cutting off the other Houses is always the best

Usually tough to cut off both at once, but Scipii probably has the easiest path to do this

Hit the button on your keyboard that looks like ` or ~ and enter in toggle_fow. This will toggle on/off the fog of war

Not sure cutting off the Julii is really important - not only can they have problems expanding but they might even have the Barbarians pushing them back! Just nab Caralis so that they can't do that. Otherwise, good video.

There are 2 ways. First, if you beat a faction (take the last settlement) you unlock that faction in the menu and can play as them in a campaign. Second, you can go into the game code. Please just be careful in the code so you don't accidentally mess up anything else in the game. Why is it Scipii when the plural of Scipio is Scipiones?

I just think the historical accuracy in Rome 1 just wasn't priority. Rather, the devs went for recognizable names

@@idontlikerome2744 hard to be more Latin than Latin itself. It might've just been a naive developer who thought Latin plurals are formed by adding -i.
