Don’t forget, his chief disciple Sariputta was Krishna in his previous life time So we had Rama and Krishna together in one lifetime and they broke all the curses on Vishnu. However, Hindus like to think Rama and Krishna are slaves to their curses on Vishnu. Not to mention curses on Brahma and Shiva.

That was actually a later attempt by Hindu Scholars to curb the growing popularity of Buddhism by amalgamating aspects of Hinduism into it. As per Theravada Buddhism which is the oldest sect of Buddhism this merging of Ram and Buddha is untrue. Theravada Buddhism and Hinduism are very different.

In India, itself we have a different version of Ramayanam. Ramayana was first written by Valmiki. There is one more Hindu text known as KambaRamayanam or 'Kambar ezhudiya IRamanayam (I silent)' which was not written in Sanskrit, it was originally Tamil and he describes Raman just like how it's mentioned in the original one but there are a lot of changes in the story itself! What a diversity in our country!

Not just different version but even the regional translations of Valmiki Ramayana add new layers to it. For example, I've seen that the most popular Hindi Ramayana (I forgot who translated) portrays Rama as a totally upstanding, moral, righteous figure. While the Krittibasi Ramayana shows Rama's righteousness & morals but also his flaws, so that he appears more humane.

According to the Scriptures there are like hundreds of Ramayanas with slightly differing accounts and the reason according to the writers and various interpreters is that Hindu Scriptutures follow a concept called Kalpa bedha which is basically similar to the concept of differing timelines of branched universes or the concept of multiverse. This is indicated by the story of Kakabushundi and Hanuman going to Patala to collect Lord Rama's ring but eventually discovering the Multiverse. It's interesting how the Vedic writers knew about the Multiverse hundreds of years before it's first scientific claim with quantum mechanics.

So since every action of one is the result of decomposition of some radioactive particle in our body, it can be determined via the experiment (Schrodinger's cat) that the particle can either decompose or not, both happening at the same time, thus creation of another universe. Hence the existence of infinite multiverses. (Idk how far I am right but this is how I interpret multiverses in nuance with quantum mechanics )

The reason why Ramakien or Thai version of Ramayana is more well known in Thai society than Mahabharat is, it is not too hard to be understood by ordinary people. Even Siam, the name of Thailand before 1939, receives Buddhism and Hinduism from India and adapts them with the native believes to become something that many Thai academics call "Thai Religion", Siam just adapts some aspects of Hinduism, mostly in the royal protocal or ceremony, so it is not necessary for ordinary people to know or understand the deep details Hindu philosophy, so it is hard for many people to understand Mahabharat. In contrast, Ramayana or Thaificated version as Ramakien has more simple story, the good vs the bad, and praising the role of the monarch or Rama who is the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. According to the "Devaraja" idea, Siamese people regarded the monarchs as the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu like Rama. This is the reason why Ramayana is more well known. Ramayana also affects many aspects of Thai culture. For example, the name of Kingdom of Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand, was named after the name of Ayodhya. Many characters appear in Thai proverbs, and the story of Ramayana is always performed as high dramatic arts such as Khon. The study about Ramayana based on Indian version and Mahabharat started during the reign of King Rama VI (King Vajiravudh, 1881 - 1925, reigned 1910 - 1925) who studied at Oxford University and had the interest in Indology which was popular in European high society at the time. Moreover than translation of many Western books, such as Shakespeare plays: The Merchant of Venice, As You Like It, and Romeo and Juliet, the king was also well-versed in Sanskrit and Hindu literature, including the Ramayana and the Mahabharata epics. He translated many stories from the two epics into Thai and also wrote plays inspired by Hindu literature, such as the story of Nala and Damayanti and Shakuntala. Most of his Indian related works were translated from English which were translated from Sanskrit. In recent years, there are many new generations of Thai scholars who translated many works directly from Sanskrit into Thai.

I have witnessed Ramayan at Bali and Yogyakarta. The only difference I could see was that Hanuman is portrayed as a "white monkey" and the character often performs simian antics on stage to the nervous laughter of the audience. Indian Buffs wont be happy at this. The Yogyakarta Ramayan was on a stage adjacent to the Trimurti temple (Bramha Shiva and Vishnu). Shiva is the main and central deity. I was amazed to see that they had a running subtitle for the dance/drama. The act was on the stage and the subtitles were beamed at the Apron. I wish we had such things in India. The classical dances would be more interesting because more people would understand them.

If you want archeological proofs the things I will write now you can search on the internet if it's true It is known that lord Shiva had sudarshan chakra which he gave to vasudev krishna before the mahavarata,...... So now every idol of lord Shiva is made without sudarshan chakra even no one had seen idol of lord Shiva with sudarshan chakra because Mahabharata happened about 3735 years ago. But recently when carbonating the idol kalpa vigraha(idol of lord Shiva with sudarshan chakra) which was found in Nepal in 1960 it was found that it is more than 27000 years old which is before the mahavarata which happened about 3735 years ago........ Now it is a proof that Mahabharata and Ramayana really happened and that lord Shiva really gave the sudarshan chakra to vasudev krishna........All the things I mentioned you can search on the internet
