It’s very helpful video. I am grinding my teeth too. But I think that reason why I do this is my scoliosis and tension in my neck and cheek. I tried your exercise few times and I see that really helps me. Thanks a lot 😊

Ive been grinding my teeth so hard to the point i almost like faint then i get like adrenaline rush associated with anxiety. I did some research and came acrossed this video. Have you ever heard of this type of symptoms before?

Hi there, this sounds like more than just your garden variety bruxism… conditions affecting your stress hormones such as adrenal insufficiency, or affecting your blood pressure, like atherosclerosis, are more likely to cause the kind of symptoms you’re describing… might be worth chatting to your doctor about this one my friend. Dr. Rick

Hello, thank you for your comment. Please seek professional medical help there are a range of treatment options, many of them conservative that can help you get relief and manage the condition. Some are as simple as active relaxation techniques and some are more involved and require sleeping devices or muscle relaxant treatment. It is definitely worth seeking a proper solution for you. Wishing you all the best in your treatment journey

Saw dentist today, she picked up on how difficult it is to open my jaw, have seen consultant about 4 Yr ago. Turned out I'm a clencher, loads of head aches, snoring probs and not surprisingly, terribly tense muscles that are going to need daily TLC. I have 2 filings due in 6 weeks time so I desperately need to do some serious massage, relaxation etc so that I can get 2 filings done. First time I've ever been told there's not enough room to do the filings, very stressed at moment but now determined to do loads of self help stuff.

Anyone who is suffering from TMJ should do daily yoga. Told by Ramdev as I also had TMJ problem. I have finished it like this from the root.

What do you do if teeth are worn down ?
@TailoredTeeth Жыл бұрын
Hi there, We build worn down teeth back up using an appropriate material such as composite resin or porcelain. The treatment is called occlusal rehabilitation and involves building all of the teeth back up to a comfortable, functional and aesthetic size and shape. Dr Rick

I've heard that yawning alot helps
@TailoredTeeth7 ай бұрын
Hi mate, thanks for the comment, this is not a good idea. Yawning, especially if the bruxism is superimposed with TMD, can strain the joint capsule and encourage slippage of the condylar disc. Everything you do to intervene should be deliberate, and the concentric and eccentric movements should be controlled. Hope this helps Dr Rick

All you need is actively relax your jaw. Nothing else. Do it for 3 months and your jaw will restore itself.
@dataloopnews7287 Жыл бұрын
So how do you do that ?
@TailoredTeeth10 ай бұрын
Actively relaxing the jaw can certainly be the only thing required to restore proper jaw function. You raise a great question about how that it is achieved and unfortunately there is no one answer. Everyone goes through different experiences, the cause and treatment of bruxism can be complicated. Thankfully there are a range of treatment options, many of them very conservative such as conscious relaxation - like mindful meditation, some involve muscle manipulation like massage. In some cases the causes may be complex and chronic and require a variety of interventions like a dental splint, muscle relaxation injections, supplementary therapy to be used over an appropriate period of time. Always seek professional healthcare advice to get a proper diagnosis and work through a treatment solution that is suitable for you.

@@dataloopnews7287process might be different for differnet persons but the way i healed my tmj and bruxism was by firstly dropping my jaw loose. Then only closing it with minimal effort. Thereafter, truing to maintain that position throughout the day. It used to lead to loss of concentration sometimes because of constant checking my jaw position in the same position throughout, but later it became a habit. It took me 6-7 months to recover 90% with this technique. Now i just manage it. This helped me to aboid surgery. The excercises mentioned in this video are of great help. Combine these with what i said here as a habit. You might fully recover in 6 months. But do not expect results in 1-2 months. After 2 months, it started getting better rapidly.
