You can't go wrong with Bryan Adams, he has such a huge back catalogue filled with both rock and ballad hits. He did collaborations with names you may be more familiar with - like Tina Turner, and a song with both Sting and Rod Stewart ("All for Love", for a Three Musketeers movie). He has numerous Grammy as well as Oscar nominations, and "Everything I Do" still holds the record for most consecutive weeks as Number 1 in the UK (16 weeks). If you're curious about his more rock n' roll side, "Run to You" would be a great start. As for ballads, "Heaven" (I recommend the Live in Wembley version, the crowd's singing is just spine-tingling) and "Please Forgive Me" are both incredible and showcases his vocals. I've really enjoyed watching you discovering him, I grew up with Bryan Adams songs and he's one of my ultimate favorites.

I didn’t go to this concert but I’ve seen Bryan Adams live 6 times and every time was brilliant. This song is his anthem but he’s done so many brilliant songs. A lot are ballads because he has a voice and talent for them but there’s a lot of rock there too and good classic solid rock. He writes a lot of his own songs and has written a lot of hit songs for other artists too. He’s also a well-known and respected photographer. There is so much great material of his to check out. Some great rock songs are ‘Cuts like a knife’, ‘One night love affair’, ‘Run to you’, ‘It’s only love’ (with Tina Turner), ‘Can’t stop this thing we’ve started’, 18 til I die’. Ballads to check out are ‘All for love’ (with Sting and Rod Stewart), ‘Heaven’, ‘Straight from the heart’, ‘Please Forgive me’, ‘Have you ever really loved a woman’.

Bryan Adams is 100% soft rock. do not be mistaken. Hair metal was a phase late 80s, metal formed by ozzy and black sabbath influenced by beatles helter skelter. this is not hard rock. this is 80s rock pop when rock pop was switching from rock to either hiphop or rock (even though they both stem from Muddy, Howlin Wolf, Berry, Walter and Dixon.

Interruptions are cool if they're relevant but you go overboard. Pausing to ask foolish questions or to insert largely redundant rhetoric over and over simply RUINS the continuity of the song too much. This approach may appeal to the attention defecit crowd who loose their attention every 3 to 5 seconds but I'm not with that crowd.
