Bryan Bracewell '98: Embracing the Science behind Texas Barbecue

Bryan Bracewell ’98 was raised around Texas barbecue. As the current owner of his family’s business, Southside Market and Barbecue, and as a proud third-generation pitmaster, his passion for barbecue is steeped in family tradition. Bracewell credits how the meat science teaching, research and extension efforts by Texas A&M AgriLife have helped him improve his craft while giving him the opportunity to join a community of pitmasters and barbecue enthusiasts.
