After that silly interview, he almost flees onto the stage... sweet and shy Bry, beautifully sung… love him.

He is always the King of Cool. Love seeing him with The Great Paul Thompson on drums. He was not "too weird" for America. His music was too deep for crappy pop radio in the U.S.

It was America's loss , they blew it by not embracing this truly original stylized rock group. I saw them at the Santa Monica civic auditorium around 1973 or 1974 , they were promoting country life. Unforgettable.

Paul Thompson, his superb drumming meant that the retro-futurist crystal spires of Roxy Music were founded on solid granite. Beautifully demonstrated on this great live version of a BF original. How blessed are we!

A pitifully short interview with the legend Bryan Ferry ...

I have been a fan of Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry since November 8, 1975. My soon to be husband, Rodney, introduced me to The Band that night. I have enjoyed their music since & we had the pleasure to see them 2-17-1976 at The Ambassador Theatre, then on 4-12-1979 at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis, Missouri. I had the pleasure of hearing them 9-19-2022 in Chicago, United Center for their◇◇◇◇◇50year celebration. The Ambience of their music is timeless, like a fine wine. Andy, Bryan, Paul & Phil. WOW! Look forward to hearing & seeing them soon. THANK YOU FOR SHARING❤❤❤❤❤

Bryan Ferry and his band of LEGENDS Roxy Music have been crushing my heart since 82’…the only other people I know who loved them were weird musicians artists and serious music lovers. And I am an American/Mexican from Chicago. Just went to the 50th Anniversary Tour and he was just as smooth and the band was on fire like the pro artists they have always been🌟🔥💫

He seems like he’s upset and barely maintaining composure at the start... I wonder if something happened with the production like a late start or something pissed him off. But it’s cool you see more of the real him in this interview, how he is if you actually know him and like all of us rough around the edges. A true hero.

Was Bryan ever asked to do a Bond Theme, either as himself or when he was with Roxy Music? I wouldn’t be surprised if he was.
@lukenukem24412 жыл бұрын
Maybe controversial but I think this is the best Ferry ever looked and that 2000-2002 period included the roxy tour, the best he ever sounded. The slightly ages look and just slightly matured vocals were a great package!

@bigjamesbondfan - sorry, much as I love Mr Moore, I don't have the interview anymore. I did just recently watch his bio on TV and have his autobiography book so I'm quite a fan myself. The first film I saw at the cinema was Roger Moore in Live & Let Die actually.

I once shared an elevator with Bryan in a posh Mayfair hotel. He was dressed exquisitely and checked the time on a tasteful Cartier American timepiece. He was wearing a beautiful exotic scent and mopped his brow with a silken handkerchief. He joined a very tall leggy blonde woman at the bar and sipped on a cocktail.

Maybe I'm just grumpy, but Ross and his silly speech impediment sorta piss me off ("Bwyan Fewwy", "Mascawa", etc.,) Anyway, nice perfromance of one of the best tracks on "Frantic", and Ferry handles it all with class and good humor.
