I can never get in on noctis, especially as a lee main, and keepout goes out the window because of kunai and his overall range on his approach tools. He has complete control over the neutral.

yep. if you want to beat Noctis then you need to get closer to him. as a lee main, u should ki-charge him when you win and don't rematch and must end with excellent

@CRIMNALSNEAK Power crush and hopkick for what reason? He has uf1 CH i13 launcher and a parry. Why I be hopkicking in offence with my character that notoriously is never at plus frames, especially against a character with literally 1 good but launch punishable low, except to hard read parry? Plus you can't slide because as soon as he sees you duck he can kunai you. Also DVJ seems like he would be a great matchup seeing as you can electric pressure, wavedash and launch with hellsweep, but pretty much every match up is fine for him anyway. However, the best way seems to be, if you need to get in, do it quickly and sidestep, scare him into using unsafe panic moves or just pressure. Other than that just let him come to you or as you said, bait his keepout which is harder than you think. B4 is notorious for being so recoverable and it still gets hit on reaction by f2.

@CRIMNALSNEAK true, but I'm not playing this game for the scrubs I play now, I'm learning for the future people that will be tough. It's quite clear here that your lack of knowledge of Lee is kind of misguiding. Lee has literal trash lows if they don't press buttons, and noctis optimal range is the range of iwr 3 because that's his ora tip range. Additionally, it's very sidewalkable. Also, an average fast lee slide is around 21 frames. Try it yourself, it's not an easy move to do fast enough against noctis, even if you have practice. and that doesn't even take into account the actual frame the slide starts travelling before mid crushing. It definitely is a nasty match up. There's not really an easy answer. 1+2 and the hitman variant and b1,1 are probably his best approach attacks, with the occasional mist step 3,4 or 3+4, or whatever else

Theres this 7k win noctis in genbu and he demoted me 4 times now in the span of a 3 months or so and I even took a few month long breaks from tekken idk why games played isnt a factor in matchmaking like c'mon man 7 times more wins than me XD

I don't understand why this Noctis is doing these weak combos instead of his stronger ones. Like at 4:36 there is definitely a combo that would have killed here and he had plenty of space for it. My Noctis is lower ranked so maybe he knows something i dont. But his combo selections in this video are confusing me. Someone help me understand this.
