​@@anns1171 from the beginning, the voice has had people who are in the industry in the competition, from cassadee pope, who was like him in a known band, as well as Dia Frampton, who was known from her and her sister's career. American Idol is more for unknowns to get a shot than this show, which seems to be used to showcase Voices that otherwise have been overlooked. A grammy award Songwriter and Notable singer are two different things, and usually the songwriters come on here to showcase they are more than just that

I have met him as I am also from Nebraska. Went to a Christian conference where his band Vota was a part of. His song Honestly is awesome!! Everyone needs to listen to it. Rooting for him to go all the way like our last one from Lincoln did several seasons ago.
