Trottier is a LEGEND. Such an awesome guy, and great player. I loved watching him in Pittsburgh as a kid.

Having grown up with the Trottier Family and playing lotsa hockey with Brian's youngest brother Rocky, I can honestly say that the Trottier Family are a very talented family and Brian's parents, Mary and Buzzo were great people and even better parents!! This was a fantastic interview with a true hockey legend!! Bryan Trottier !!!!

My favorite Cup winning team from the 80's. I was 8 when they started their run in 1980. Loved all those guys. Bossy and Smithy were my favorites.

Bryan doesn't like anyone calling him the greatest hockey player ever, maybe because of his humble knowledge and respect of who played before him or his knowledge of the talent of who played after him. Gordy Howe called him the best two way player ever, Steve Iverson chose the number 19, because that's what Bryan wore, No he doesn't like to be called the best, because of respect for whom he battled with , But if we want to consider how winning plays into name calling, 7 Stanley cups on his shelf, So let's not say it let's just know it! But if Gordy can say it, well I can say it, Bryan Trottier is the best hockey player on both sides of the ice, ever!

Yzerman and Sakic contribute Trottier for why they wore No. 19

@@cowetascore8476 Sakic too? I know about Yzerman but Sakic is new to me. I love all three of them and ironically 19 is also "my" number.

Flyers fans here and in his prime 78-84 Trots was so good that there was a legit question of who was better him or 99.

I’m 56 and grew up on Long Island rooting for the Islanders. My first recollection as an Islanders fan was Bryan Trottier’s rookie year. Those mid to late 1970’s Islanders teams were strong and eventually led to the 1980’s dynasty. As Bryan mentioned the unsung strong players of those dynasty teams were Gord Lane, Dave Langevin, Stefan, Persson, and Anders Kallur. I liked how Bryan mentioned the positivity of Badger Bog Johnson.

2:21 Tiger Williams brought Trottier back to hockey and vowed to protect him. 4:22 Learning to pass properly. 5:24 Would only hit people who hit him. Wouldn’t hit Lafleur or Perreault. 6:21 Took pride in doing a lot of little things well. 11:14 It’s amazingly sad that half of the NHL’s Mt. Rushmore were players who showed so much talent despite being too injured to practice. Amazing to think what they could’ve done. Gretzky might have to settle for 4th best NHL player of all time. 25:58 Marek’s favorite team is the Islanders team because they can play any way (I’ve heard Orr say the same thing about his Bruins and Dryden about his Habs.) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hn7MenycrLt3arM (Beginning with Ron Ellis at 7:54 mark.) 32:56 Al Arbour vs. Bob Johnson 34:39 Trottier vs. Gretzky 50:17 Marek chooses Torrey as greatest GM.

If Samoan athletes ever take an interest in playing hockey & the sport still has a place for physical/tough players, believe me these Pacific Islanders will have a major impact on the game.

Card collectors... HOW is his Rookie worth less than $200? A Calder, Art Ross, Heart, Conn Smyth, Clancy, and 7 Cups. In the top 20 all times in points. Meanwhile you got these kids who haven't done anything in the NHL, are selling for more than that. There's something rotten in the world of collecting. It makes me wanna just dump all I have, and move on.
@kenduffy5397 Жыл бұрын
Yup, that’s why I don’t collect. I’m confused as to why Baseball cards are worth more than any other sport, including the best sport in the world; hockey? I get Baseball has always been about numbers long before advanced statistics (analytics) Yet, it is obvious to anyone that’s watched a hockey game on any level . Knows Hockey is a difficult sport to play. So yeah, I don’t waste my time buying memorabilia or authentic player's jersey because I want to be able to put on my non-authentic Bryan Trottier, Hillary Knight or Alexander Romanov Jersey on and go play hockey!
