I used to have a cb in my pickup so we knew where the cops were when traveling on the dead tour. At times it was gut busting funny. They would use echo and such. If they called me “driver” I had em fooled. Then someone would inevitably say “we got a 4wheeler among us” and then radio silence.
@popwarner15263 жыл бұрын
they v could tell your radio was Barefoot. no power. no echo. no reverb. you need to at buy the CB radio from a CB shop. that way it comes peaked and tuned and you can can get a decent antenna and maybe a Road King mic. then you'll be be talking loud. or they used to say. loud and proud

OMG.... them eyes are to die for!! Love the trucker life. Hammer down keep rollin on 18 wheeler stay safe!!! Them CBs get you through the night, or during the day. If your having a bad or tough day tune the CB in to channel 19 sit back n enjoy the show. Lol

They didn't like many outsiders but I was able to get in on their good side so it made for good late nights when I was a kid. I grew up in the Trucking industry so I knew the comradery that is on the road and I stopped when I could to help others.. I even met Trucker Wally one nite.. that was pretty funny.. Need to go to 650 mile rule no hos rules.After driving 650 miles take 10 hour reset ,easier to plan if you drive50, 60 or 70 you are able to drive same miles before 10 hour reset. no worrries for traffic are weather. Less stress driving slow, so if you can drive slow and make same miles it would be better for everybody.

That's a lie. It depends on the states you run in. Because if you run out west like Texas and arizona where speed limit 75 for trucks you can legally log 800 miles. 11 times 75 mph is 825 miles. Usually I log 700-750 in 70 mph states. But if you run in slower states like California you'll never make more than about 600 miles. The most I ran in one day it was a hair illegal(like 25 miles illegal) was 850 miles. I was 25 miles from the receiver and technically out of hours. I went ahead and ran it in.
