glad TJ pointed out arm strength being overrated... people forget that with anticipation and soft touch, QB can throw OVER the Defenders near scrimmage where as non cerebral QBs try to get it BETWEEN the defenders, looking for those few gaps. when QB throws OVER the defenders, no gap needed

I really think the Panthers organization needs to draft CJ there is no need in taking chances with Bryce you can't trade away your future picks and move up for an unknown of how his size will hold up in the NFL when CJ has the size and arm accuracy and has a level head just as Bryce ..Come on guys if you really think about it the only thing that separates CJ from Bryce is the running with the football highlights lol CJ already said he didn't need to run because he always found the open receiver he's very capable of running the ball only if needed think about that CJ would imo benefit the Panthers the most now and in the future lmk what y'all think ....so my question is should the Panthers roll the dice on young and take that gamble and next year be back to square one looking for that starting franchise QB but this time with out their picks

With all the moves the Panthers have made in Free Agency they are setting up to draft CJ Stroud, he has the body type, hes a mobile QB but would rather sit back and throw from the pocket and is very accurate and when he does decide to use his legs it surprises alot of defenses but he does it with ease and reminds me alot of how my boy Mahomes runs when he gets out the pocket, but Stroud is faster, and hes accurate man, and with Stroud and a guy like Andy Dalton there to mentor him throughout the offseason tht will be huge too, and they have made some nice moves in Free Agency, if they sign Stroud, their right there with the Saints with Derek Carr and the weapons they have AND THE REALLY GOOD DEFENSE SAINTS HAVE, i think either could win the division, i dont see Baker helping Tampa win tht division and i think ATL is still a couple years away and undecided still about Desmond Ridder at QB, and ATL doesmt have a legit #1 WR, they have a really great talent with alot of athletic ability in TE Kyle Pitts and they have made some decent moves to get their defense better and the moves they made will also help the younger guys on tht defense who have alot of upside only get better, and they need a legit RB... If i was ATL idk if i go WR or RB with their Top 10 pick, i might just have to take RB Bijan Robinson from Texas, because hes THT GUY and gna be a great RB in the NFL and theres not alot after him this year at RB, alot of mock drafts have him midway 1st rd, but if im ATL i need a Framchise Guy offensively, and WR is pretty good and alot deeper in this draft so i would have to think of taking Bijan Robinson at their pick in Top 10 and get everything else after tht, thts just me from where the Division is going and ATL being the only team rn without a legit Face of the Franchise
@jefferyzielke7665 Жыл бұрын
I think it's hard to evaluate a QB that comes from a big time program. They are surrounded by studs. Not only are they studs but often they were backups before starting. A guy like CJ doesn't deal with messy pockets. Everyone he throws to is better than the guy defending him. We shall see. Definitely has the skills. Just a bit short.
@Al-Rudigor Жыл бұрын
He just addressed that. An example is Joe B with Chase and Jefferson.
@jacobhayes8324 Жыл бұрын
Well I think that is where Bryce actually has a leg up on CJ. Last season Bama didn't have a great receiving core. Their leading receiver was the RB. There was definitely games where Bryce ran for his life too. Overall I get your point but I think it all depends on the mentality of the QB and how much a team supports their QB. A lot of big name Qbs go to bad organizations and just can't save a dumpster fire.

I have them dead-even. If I would take CJ over Bryce it wouldn't be because of height. QB success is just as much intangibles as tangibles. The other positions rely on tangibles more. Tangibles is why the league missed on Flutie, they kept focusing on his height but not what he was doing.

And that hit that injured him late in the season, made him miss a couple weeks and play through discomfort for the playoffs, but a dude built like Bryce taking that same hit puts him on IR. How people can just write this off as if it isn't a thing and say he should be the #1 overall pick......that's just INSANE lol they say the best ability is availability, well good luck keeping Bryce on an NFL field consistently for years to come i'm sorry but that's asking a lot from a kid who's built like Eddy PIniero and already in college had this problem while playing behind a beast o-line where he barely got touched, being injured on a routine tackle that he saw coming and was braced for etc come on i love his skills and ball placement and all that, but odds are he's gonna miss a LOT of games

@@RB-.- - it's not that simple EVERY QB takes hits no matter how smart or how good their instincts are Jalen wasn't playing reckless when he got injured, just a regular takedown and got landed on weird, it happens this has already happened to Bryce in college despite barely ever being touched, and he got injured now do this in the NFL where he's not on the elite team that has far better talent than 80% of his competition, make the defenders that will be landing on him bigger stronger and better than 95% of the dudes he went up against in college, 17 games per season year after year after year after year after year etc etc etc good luck with that like i said, writing this off like it's not a thing is just insane there's a reason you don't see dudes built like kickers in the NFL
