Like a true point guard in basketball, it’s hard to teach. His size would worry me. But when I watch him play I can “see” it. I think CJ Stroud will be a star, I was impressed what he did against Georgia and that defense.

Bryce is a class individual and a wonderful college football player. The reality is he's going from a great team with All Americans blocking and catching for him to an average or below average team. The interesting thing about the QB position is how well do the QB reads defenses. Is the QB playing "checkers " on the field with opposing defenses or is he playing "Chess. " And can the QB apply his skills to that playing scheme? The great QB'S in NFL history had the skills to pay the bills, but most importantly, they played "Chess, " not "Checkers, " with opposing defenses and used their skills and abilities to accomplish their wins. So, which QB has skills and plays "Chess, " on the field. To me, that would be Bryce Young and C. J. Stroud. Levi's plays "Checkers. " Anderson plays "Checkers. "

Bryce young to me is the most ready player to step in and start in the NFL but I think CJ has a much higher ceiling specifically because he’s big and athletic enough to make big time plays but his accuracy is incredible. I’m not saying Bryce isn’t accurate but look what happened to Justin fields, Trevor Lawrence and joe burrow their first 2 seasons… they were ruthlessly beat up and those 3 are much bigger than Bryce. This is because they were high draft picks and went to bad teams, just like Bryce would if he was drafted super high. There is no chance he makes it through and entire season getting the beating he would take behind the panthers offensive line and I think they know that

Not even close to being true. Several times against high level SEC opponents, he was under pressure. Often it felt like he was lost in the pocket, would somehow slither to an opening, and make a throw. Out of the last few Bama qbs (Hurts, Tua, and Mac), Bryce had the worst receiving core and oline. Anyone that believes Young is going to translate to the NFL are Bama apologists/morons. Someone went back and watched all the games last season and came out with a number of 15-17 QB hits on Young and he sustained a minor knee injury. He is going to get hit 15x some games, with guys that are much faster and larger than much of his college competition. Young will be sidelined come week 5 maybe week 7, but no later than that. Why waste a #1 overall if he won't be able to stay on the field? The S.E.C. nonsense needs to end. Young is a great college QB, but is not, or will he ever be, an quality, and durable, NFL QB, period. Whoever does end up taking him will look back and wonder why they didn't consider availability as the #1 concern before drafting the young man. By all accounts he is a great person and a hard worker, but this isn't show business, this is elite athletics, and he doesn't have the body type to withstand a typical NFL season.
