Bryce Young played in the SEC and was very successful but soon as he get ready to go to NFL y’all act like he is two steps from snapping a leg like a dried out twig if somebody breathed on him. Just because you don’t have what it takes does not mean he doesn’t have what it takes to make it in the NFL. I spent 20 years in the military as a combat soldier some of the hardest SOBs I ever seen in my life were some of the smallest. They’re body took a beating like all of the so-called big studs and they just kept on kicking ass like a boss. Most of the best and most reliable machine gunners were some of the smallest guys in the unit, but had the biggest hearts and they put forth the effort to keep their body right so they could do the job at a high-level. Just because you’re soft does not mean Bryce Young is soft. Like he said during his interview he has been this size his entire life and it’s never been a problem nor has he been held back because he couldn’t get the job done. The one thing you learn as a leader in the Military and especially as a Drill Sergeant big does not always equal capable, bad ass, availability, and success it’s about the dog in the fight and Bryce may look like the nice boy next door but he is a pit bull ready to tear your heart out. Someone compared him to Curry in the NBA both guys are a beast.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but Young is an elite prospect. Scouts have said he processes his reads as quick as Manning and his release is lightning quick. Young is 5’10 204 (probably plays at 196-200). Barry Sanders was 5’8 200 and dominated the NFL. I saw Bryce dominate SEC defenses which 70-80 percent of those players are going to make the league. His pocket mobility is similar to Mahomes (HE IS NOT MAHOMES but the trait is SIMILAR). I believe Young has a chance to be a 7-12 time pro bowler with a 15 year career. And I also believe Young’s playing style will have him better positioned to succeed as a rookie than Stroud. People praise Stroud for his mobility and play creating against Georgia. But where was that against Michigan both times? I’m saying Stroud did not lose those games but if he played the way he did against Georgia he could have won them. My problem with Stroud is he had a clean pocket 95% of the time. It’s like evaluating Sam Bradford when he was coming out of OU. Yeah he has special accuracy because nobody is breathing on him but if he gets pressured he becomes inconsistent. Same thing with Stroud until Georgia. Even though you can tell he was not comfortable being asked to roll out and make second chance plays and throws, he did it. But Stroud looked uncomfortable. If you think I’m exaggerating then go watch Mahomes, Allen, Rodgers, and YOUNG if you want to compare.

Three outliers. Plus Wilson has 25lbs on Bryce and is a superior athlete. Murray is a vastly superior athlete. Flutie played 40 years ago, and had a 74 career passer rating and just over a 1/1 td/int rate. If youre satisfied with that level of production by a 1st overall pick, then sure, i guess thats a fair comparison.
