I'm not going to talk about the players from other teams but I know that there is not a better football player in college football. He wasn't the starter but technically Bryce did win a National Championship his freshman year. He was the first quarterback in the history of Alabama football to win the Heisman Trophy. Lane did what he had to do by giving Hurts one read on an outside third of the field and if it's not there throw it away or run. I watched the Big 12 Championship Game and was very impressed with both teams in just a fun game to watch. I've always been a fan of Kansas State, primarily because of Bill Snyder, a classier big-school football coach there has never been. Seriously, the Wildcats play their home games in the "Bill Synder Family Stadium." Plus, Snyder is a past recipient of the "Woody Hayes Coach of the Year" award. Need I say more? I'm sure Bill is proud of "his" Wildcats and well he should be. However, the Wildcats paled in comparison to probably the gutsiest performance ever in a losing effort by one Max Duggan. Sure, Caleb Williams, C.J. Stroud, and without question, Bryce Young, are true, great college quarterbacks. However, if we were choosing sides for a high-stakes, pick-up football game, I would pick Duggan any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I like players with "heart," and it's been a while since I've seen it displayed like Duggan has this year. I'm a Big 10 fan, but I can't wait to see the Fiesta Bowl. In fact, the entire Bowl season could be fun to watch, including the playoffs. Let's face it, college football has been a "yawn" lately, but with the exception of the disaster that is the "Transfer Portal," this college football season has been pretty interesting. --Will

Personally, I think we still need some quality roster depth and our football facility upgrades (supergrades) to be complete or near completion before we move to the SEC. NIL and the portal are making it more difficult each year to predict any programs, near future success. I still believe the Blue Bloods of CFB will remain atop the pack most years but there will be some years where a Cinderella team shocks the world.

I have said many times, Brice Young is the best QB in college. without him Bama losses 4 games this year. the value a QB has to a team counts. Man in my heart of hearts as an Alabama fan I was really hoping Bryce would actually come back for his senior season, but come on I know that would be a very bad decision on Bryce’s part. He got hurt this season and if he were to play in the sugar bowl and come back for his sr season it could cost him millions of dollars, money that could set up his family for generations to come, I loved Bryce at bama and am still so proud to call Bryce young bamas best qb to ever take a snap, THANK YOU BRYCE And roll tide roll.

Well if I were bama I'd be very motivated to beat Kansas State...BECAUSE...K State beat TCU (who made the playoffs over bama)...SO hence if bama beats KState (which they're more than capable of)...it means bama beat the team that beat TCU and they can unequivocally say "I told ya so" that bama would've been better competition in the playoffs.

Pretty sure Auburn and Florida also had one in the last 16 years. 12 of the last 16 nattys were won by SEC teams ( Alabama, LSU, GA, Florida, and Auburn) Idk if he’s talking about just CFP era ( where we have a semi final now with 4 teams) or BCS era ( where only 2 teams went) as well.

The Sugar Bowl for Bama is a loss prevention type. This mean while there is no glory for beating a team lucky to ranked 11th and whom lost to Texas, winning this game prevents more Bama from hemorrhaging more players to the portal. We all remember how confident Saban was at the beginning of the season concerning NIL and how they will only get better. Well, that didn't go as planned and now they are a team with less player development, especially with the backups. So despite what Bama fans think, losing players to the portal matters. Beating KSU soundly at least staves off more desertion and doubt for this team. If you think 12 plus for Bama in the portal now is bad, wait and see what happens if you go out and lose this game. You won't just be losing current roster players, you'll see flips before signing day. And this staff isn't great at developing backups as of late.
