Great video! When Bryson said to pull down on the club at the start of the downswing, like doing a lat pull-down, that was awesome for me visually! Made perfect sense! He is such a stud. Keep up the great work my brother!
@PiePye Жыл бұрын
Does he mean let your arms go down first in the down swing?
@bradparks9965 Жыл бұрын
The way I understood it, he wants you to pull down with the hands keeping that “L” shape with the arms and club which will give you that snap, or lag, when coming down on the ball. I’m no teacher but to me that really helped. I tend to early release and flip the club at the bottom giving me no compression and very inconsistent strikes. I’m really working on getting my body to continue through the swing instead of standing up in the downswing. Hope that helps brother.
@patrickorourke43222 жыл бұрын
Thank you both . The feeling of left elbow to right field was huge for me and a big difference around the green chipping and pitching . Better compression and higher flight and more spin . Thank you for sharing this information , much appreciated

I'm completely new to golf and I literally just go to the range every single weekend and hit between 50-100 balls with a wilson stiff shaft 7 iron which I bought for $4 at a thrift store. I used to whiff 80+% of my shots but I'd say that now >50% go the direction I want them to and the misses are getting less atrocious. I feel like until I've got this down there's no point in getting more clubs and certainly not actually playing on a course yet. I feel like having that good base will make the game more enjoyable as a beginner, and in the meanwhile I still have fun going to the range. Always good to see someone else's struggles and solutions for a different perspective
@blackbriarmead1966 Жыл бұрын
I'm buying an old set of ping eye2 irons and I'm going to see if I can thrift a golf bag and a driver. Sure, I *could* spend a lot of money, but I'm a college student, and beginners should focus on technique over tools anyways. Looking forward to going out on the course in a few weeks maybe. Only problem is it's 100 degrees every day, but hopefully that won't be too bad with some shade

Very similar to what I have been working on. I've tended to collapse my leading leg, while also dragging my trailing leg which resulted in a sway. Going with the thought of holding my left hip stiffer and the feeling of straighter leading leg has helped significantly with my irons. it feels like im not moving or transferring my weight forward but its just less than before which was too much. Now ive had to adjust slightly on my driver swings to feel like im rotating around my right hip to get better launch angle. always a work in progress.

Bro if see this I think you just try to release your head first like Dustin Johnson , it’s gonna be a split second from when you see the golf ball to when you make contact . Make your normal swing and just before you make contact I guess like 75% on your down swing release your head at your target

@williamreichert47987 ай бұрын
Hogan is not getting his weight to his left side at the end of the backswing. Partly because his hip turn is too much and the weight stays back and he has rotate the hips and move. the weight to the left DURiNG the downswing.That is hard to time. with the arms coming down. All pros shift their weight during the last movement of the backswing.

Man Bryson is just nice dude unlike Keopka. His a dick. Bryson needs to simplify his short game mindset though. I diff think putting, chipping not as much pitching are feel. If he got his short game solid as his long game man he would start rolling off majors. I would love to see him go on a tear for the next 10 to 20 years.
