You have not picked up some issues of this Rider 750. 1. When your speed reduces to 7-8km/h (up the steep hill, Bryton speed sensor used) the unit pauses and resumes working only when you increase the speed. 2. You sometimes go up the hill and it shows the gradient = 0 or nothing at all. Comparing to a Garmin computer, the gradient values are much smaller. 3. You must remember that the displayed temperature is approximately 2 degrees less than it really is.

Nice review. I am considering getting one. I have a couple questions for you. 1. When adding the odometer to the data field, can it be set to a number other than 0000, i.e. to the reading of the unit being replaced? 2. Can this unit be charged on the fly using a battery bank? Thanks for your help!
@scottrider7271 Жыл бұрын
Not sure about the odometer so maybe just check with Bryton. I've never had to do that. In regards to charging after you select the bike you can plug in a charger and it keeps recording so yeah you can apparently charge it while you're riding if you really need it to. Full battery lasts a hell of a long time you'll probably get more than eight or nine hours with all functions running so yeah

I've read that the mount is not compatable with a garmin quarter turn.... I have an integrated out front mount on my canyon - is is possible to unscrew the bryton mount from the internal of their out front mount so i can install it in my existing set-up?

i have no clue honestly.. BUT, definitely try it first without changing. I had a garmin mount that took the bryton without changing.... aka the bryton fit into the garmin mount nice and tight... actually preferred it.. it was tighter.

I bought the 750 and have some observations. 1. On the map page in heading mode the arrow in upper left corner is not rotating. It should rotate to point N so the rider could know what direction he is heading. Just like in other devices. Otherwise that mark is useless. I have written to the support pointing that oddity. They have replied but didn't confirm my suggestions. 2. Lack of battery icon in %. Of course you can live without it, but in a flagship device it would be nice to have that. However, it is a good and reliable device in general.

It does the full maps type thing, but it's never as good as a phone... so don't expect that. If you don't need maps, stay with the 420. The 750 does show the data a little nicer and a bit more on a page, but it wouldn't be a reason to upgrade if you already have the 420 otherwise.

any way of manually uploading a workout file aside from TP's and Bryton active website?
@scottrider72712 жыл бұрын
I have my Bryton app connected to my Strava... after I finish a ride it automatically uploads to Strava. Bryton allows you to upload a track via .gpx format.. I have done this before by creating a map on 'map my ride'... exporting as .gpx, then dropping it onto my phone, then the Rider 750. Never used the active 'website' ... but the active app will do this
@scottrider72712 жыл бұрын
I find the best / quickest mapping to be simply using the 'navigation' option with auto rerouting enabled. I simply start navigation, enter my destination, then it creates a path for you... if I go off the path it reroutes for you in 3-6 seconds (depends on length)... if you preload a map, then you are stuck to that specific course.

Hi nice video. I am still not sure if the 750 supports BLE sensors. Bryton's website says, yes, in one part, and NO in another part. Do you really know is I can connect BLE sensors? Another question, when I am navigating, can I see the route profile to check out in what part of the route I am?, this is specially important when I am climbing and I need to know how far is the end of that terrible climb.. Garmin 530 has the climbpro or something like that. Cheers man
@scottrider72713 жыл бұрын
Contact Bryton in regards to the ble sensors I don't have any. For some strange reason I don't think it does the Bluetooth. In regards to the navigation, when you're navigating the elevation screen automatically pops up on a separate screen and you can zoom in and out of it so you'll be able to see... I usually set my mind for about 2 km in front of me but I can test it out tomorrow and see what the lower and higher range of the distance/altitude it'll show you. You can adjust it while you're riding.

Glad you are enjoying it, i am on the fence regarding buying, looking at the usual suspects but keep coming back to the 750, TBH its the rings and graphs i like most😂😂 like the one arm bandits with all thier bright lights grabbing your attention, i think the main point that does hold me back on the 750 is the tech and customer support, the app i did download to see what it is like, seems fine , i know not to always trust the internet too much but there are complaints for all brands regarding tech support but Bryton seems to have its fair share compared to the amount of units they sell which i assume would be less. Good review and look forward to some updates. I hope to pull the trigger in the nexy few days

I think the s800 actually has a smaller screen... It's likely a little faster than 750 so it won't lag as much. But one thing a lot of people forget is a bike computer you only really notice the lag when you're setting it up and then after that you just sort of leave the settings you like so you're not really playing with it too much. For instance I don't really touch my settings anymore and I just use the buttons to flip screens which is actually nicer than having to slide the screen

good review! @scottrider72713 жыл бұрын
it comes with OSM open street maps installed so you can use it without your phone. But, there isn't turn by turn info if phone isn't connected and all of the street info will not display in this case...if you get lost alot you would still likely prefer your phone...as in all bike gps's. I haven't noticed a return to home funtion, but you could simply use the navigation feature to have it map a new route back I suppose. Thw best feature is the navigation in my opinion. If it is paired to your phone you can quickly have it map a route to any location with turn by turn and re-routing if you change paths. I have had several map gps units and to be honest the phones always work better. I use the navigation to simply voice enter a location and it draws me a map in a few seconds and I just use that most. navigation video.... LINK kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6a8mnmZma2CiJI
