I want to thank you for making this detailed video, many would just stop at the surface information, it you went out and show how it works on bike. Your video convinced me this is the one. However, I have a question. In your Cons, you mentioned navigation can have false turn notifications, is it still the case after one year? (Assuming they release software updates)

This is a traditional climb challenge feature based on a loaded route. Newer Wahoo / Garmin computers have added real-time climb challenge which is cool feature.

Do you know if this will charge whilst in use?

Yes, you can use the S500 while charging. However, the USB-C port is right next to the mount on the backside of the GPS so it would be a tight fit to connect a USB cable while the computer is on a mount.

If you're really looking for a simple navigation computer I'd recommend checking out the Beeline Velo 2 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYPXXpR_jLeriKs. It's very simple with just arrows and a round display without all the extra data fields and features.
