I am eagerly anticipating the next instalment. Gearbox end float or a loose clutch centre nut could explain a few of the symptoms. It will also be interesting to see if it's a 6-spring or 4-spring clutch. It appears very much to be a bike which was rebuilt, but not followed up by shakedown runs and correction of teething problems.

OK...now my guess...I'm leaning toward failure or misapplication of some component (or components) related to the after market electric start. Time will tell...

Oh when you mentioned an electric leg I thought ooh aftermarket mechanism ? Engine sounds ok for a change Paul ha,ha. As soon as the cover comes off I imagine there will be a mechanical tinkle, can't wait .

Hi Paul love your attitude to working with your Bikes. Can I ask you the Kodak camera you now use which 1is it and can it be mounted to a helmet. I am running a 900 scrambler at the moment although I would really like a Tiger 90. Keep the vids coming. Great Stuff.

Thank You. Currently, I am using one of the Fuji cameras in the workshop, but the Kodak has trialed well on a recent ride. You will find more on the cameras I use and how I use them here: kzbin.info/aero/PLNiCL5QKptFWgsEXYxmMLZCvzlHS0Kyae&si=pIyETIpR-lzhnPDx

Could it be a bad mainshaft bearing in the trans? Once ha a 350 bsa trials that one square ball in the drive side main bearing, it was a lot of work to find it

Yes, worth stripping down and spending a bit more to do a proper job.

Noises are a machine telling you something..stop ..open and listen..Im guessing gearbox alignments and tension..slots and tension adjusters on gear box ..run it without cover observe for lash

My bet is on electric starter clutch making these noises.
