hi charlie tango can you please help me out and suggest how i get the pellet loader pushed back into the airsporter that im stripping :( dont waan force anything if not being done correctly in hte first place :(

You have put the cocking slider retainer bracket is on upside down mate , thats why the stock wont fit

You could have omitted the buffer washer, shortened the spigot on the piston, redrilled the hole on the spigot at 90 degrees from the old one, lengthened the cocking slot on the piston and bingo! More swept volume.

Wow the article that i read few days ago tells exactly the same. But does it really increase piston stroke and power? How would you tell?

It's very simple, the buffer washer occupies space in the cylinder and by removing it increases volume. The export Airsporter S was different from UK spec models. It developed 635 fps against the UK version which was limited to a maximum of 600. The difference being there was no buffer in the export version. Also the S variants of the Airsporter and Mercury models used a steel piston head as opposed to an alloy head. The early Airsporters (mk1 and mk2) had a conical piston head, This arrangement served the purpose of shortening the transfer port which made these rifles more efficient. The best Airporters (in my opinion) are the mk1 and 2 and from the mk3 onwards cost cutting took its toll.

@@darrencady4261 No wonder many would agree that the earlier versions are a real catch, powerful springers such as the TX200 makes use of center transfer port and has a longer piston stroke. I think a parachute seal also has some effects on the efficiency, I've seen someone has done the conversion on his Mercury. Maybe the later versions of Airsporter can benefit from this conversion too.

That stock front end needs to be split down the middle ! A bit like a tune in fork ! That will never fit ??

Seems to be doing a marvellous job of making a mess an embarrassing him self if you was born in the 60s had bsa guns in your teen years in the 70s it's hard to watch someone making an absolute mess of what he is trying to do I hope that trigger works ha ha
