I put grease on a cork gasket once, obviously sub standard softened it so much it spread out before it could be tightened. Had to make one out of gasket paper lol

Not had that problem but ive had a few small leaks though.

@@500dbd34 It only happened the once on thermostat housing gasket, seemed to be very soft cork.

Hi Brian - on the plunger frame is the stub for the rear brake pedal removable as mine has worn oval ?
