For anyone who doesn't know - ByBre is Brembos budget brand, they're perfectly serviceable brakes

I like Japanese bikes because when I was growing up British bikes were unreliable oil droppers and the Japanese bikes were fast, reliable, stylish and affordable. But I must admit I do like this bike, all the retro styling but with modern up to date reliability and technology. Good review.

Ignore the doom-mongers as it's a great bike which had some early teething troubles that BSA has sorted via a recall/upgrade campaign. That's not unusual (check out the new Triumph 400 owners groups for their woes), and BSA acted quickly (unlike Triumph according to affected owners). They're currently discounted, like many other bikes (a brand new RE Interceptor for under £4k anybody?), so represent excellent value for such a unique bike. For some reason the BSA has attracted negative attention on the internet for exactly the same things that affect many other brands. Mine's absolutely brilliant, and sounds much better with the TEC shorty baffle installed. I've now done nearly 2,000 miles and the engine just gets better and better as it loosens up. I'm enjoying it so much, it's the best £6k I ever spent!

The package under the seat that you didn't look in to contains a basic first aid kit. I own a 2022 "legacy edition", it's the one with all the chrome shiny bits, the legacy does have a real leather covered seat, unlike the vynil seat on the cheaper Gold Stars.

Maybe because I’m an “old fart”, but I really like the look of this bike. I’m looking forward to your full review. (And hopefully its importation into the US.)

I also like the look/style and yes I'm also an old fart but recently new [8 yrs] to motorcycles [no not a midlife crisis just health life + financial crisis - can't cycle anymore]. I *LIKE* the addition of the extra protection on the front suspension forks. I cannot understand why there's no locking [security] mechanism for access under the seat....unless I missed that?

ByBre means By Brembo. The real let down for me is the really janky looking BSA and Gun transfers on the silver engine casings, they look SO cheap and are just not required.

Ooh, that Radiator. Looks like its been stolen out of a 1960s Morris Oxford.🤔☹️👍

What a crock of cachu these "joking" BSA badged bikes are, anyone who get's sucked into all of the media hype will be in tears within weeks after the sheen of a "new bike" wears off. The best and only good thing that has ever been exported from the Indian sub-continent is a "beef madras" downed with a pint of Cobra.....

It's a BSA in name only, underneath the glitz it's still a bucket of cachu, a poor replica of something that never was. If a BSA badge was pinned to a donkey's backside it would still be a donkey. Best wrapped up in a blanket and kept off the salty British roads in winter as the alloy parts will soon corrode and the paint finish dull and flake off before spring. Secondhand values plumeting like a lead balloon and a litany of failings reported elsewhere..........

And you have one to base your remarks on I have ridden motorcycles from 1970 90cc to 1400cc ladt bsa I had was a three month old A65L in 1972 have owned two of the new bonnevilles and have an early 23 goldstar problem free don't see any corrosion on it and yes it's a bsa made by mahindra but so what the triumphs where made in thailand I put a decal over the goldstar name because it means nothing to me if we are talking corrosion I have a yamaha tricity 300 at 20 miles every frame weld had rust it had a recall that took yamaha a year to fix so bsa is doing a good job with the bikes that had problems in 72 I listened to the same broken record about my A65L it's not a real bsa so best to leave us owners to enjoy what is a great machine
