Hi Paul, Thank you for showing us these beautiful air rifles. In one of your comments, you've dated these air rifles around the year 1912. Obviously, you are the voice here, though I'd personally expect these air rifles to be BSA R12's of their day. As you say, they were very capable hunting tools. I would think many people would have relied upon these hunting tools to put food on their tables. Rabbits didn't just appear from a top hat. They were introduced into this country for food and to help people survive. These air rifles are super hunting tools and would have been depended on and valued by many people. Thank you.

I own A BSA light pattern ( the lower one ) still shoots beautifully and still dead on accurate its a joy to shoot .

Yes love this one ,its a bit akward to shoot because its so tiny but its a lovely little rifle .

They were about 45 shillings in Gamages in 1912 , probably about a months wages for a fairly well paid man if not more
