Weirdly enough, this is probably my favourite scene in the whole finale. I love that the physicist/mathematican that Anders truly is (because the final five were all scientists, right?) briefly comes through this veil of the sports star he was brainwashed to be. And as a footballer (soccer to you yanks!) I too appreciate the sheer beauty of a perfect pass or movement during a game. It truly is science in motion. Wow, how wanky do I sound? I'll stop now. Thanks for putting this up anyway!

That moment he goes "huh" you can just see him recalling something from his former life.

What a stud. No television show in history has ever crafted such poetry tied to action. Well Done.

This speech was inspiring.

I understand what the writers were trying to get at. There is something intoxicating about pushing your body and mind to the limits of human perfection. I have felt this feeling while playing competitive games like Soccer or Halo.

In his flashback with the reporter, he looks around before talking to the reporter, almost if he's about to share a " deep, dark mysterious " secret with her, that he's not just a jock. His scientific background is shining through. Too bad he had to pilot the Galactica into the Sun.....

I love this.

I liked the scene, too. Anders came across as more than a - mea culpa - " jock ". Too bad that Hybrid Sam had to fly with the Galactica into the Sun instead of being transported to the baseship with the Centurions.

He reached the end of his road, he slipped his surly bonds & did become connected with everything after all. I compared to Marcus Cole of Babylon 5, but at the end of that series, he was still waiting in a cryonics unit. The analogy / comparison broke down.

Probably not, but I did consider journalism as a career after watching this scene.

Do sports journalists normally conduct interviews with athletes when said athletes are taking a bath? o.O
