I forget her so read it but apparently before Kobol or Earth 1, a Single Cylon Evolved so much and whatnot he raised to an higher plain of existence… and became god to fill the void (and I assume any past gods went to the “next” step). I still wonder what the Lords Of Kobol were. Not Cylons… Maybe Hybrid Himan Cylons..? Or even maybe Angels..? @AH-yn6ip3 жыл бұрын
Same! It makes sense both for being the most simple explanation narratively for Kara's origin/nature and also as a perfect connection to the cylon/human hybrid plotline. The first successful hybrid leads them to their new home through her death, and the second hybrid lives on to become mitochondrial eve to the new human race. If Ellen had called Daniel something other than "creative, sensitive, and an artist", I think it would be a harder leap. Now a decade later, this theory and the First Hybrid being Daniel Graystone are basically still about the only plot points I wish they would have confirmed. I'm happy with them being my head canon for now in any case.
@bloodCount88953 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Would have made perfect sense for her to be a hidden first hybrid child granting her a special destiny. She just dies, reborn, finds her dead body on Cylon Earth, discovers that the notes of this song equal the jump coordinates to Earth II. Then disappears when talking to Lee. No closure what so ever for Kara. Having it all tie into the story of her mother, father, Cylons, 13th Tribe, music notes, and Earth II makes perfect sense. it gives her character's end closure. This whole scene would have been the perfect reveal. Instead it was another twist into her story that never resolves. She as a kid was taught this song by her father. How in the frak did her father know the song of the 13th Tribe if he wasn't a Cylon that was extremely close to Ellen? Then this ghost does the finger smoke thing, touches her hair and face like she remembered as a child, and then disappears.

He is Starbuck's father but I believe he is an angelic being who fathered her with Starbuck's human mother. He taught her the coordinates to our Earth when she was a child using musical notes. This same was taught to the Final Five by perhaps the same being two millennial ago and was a sub conscience trigger. That's why Starbuck's mom always knew she was special and had a purpose, just didn't know exactly what. "Kara Thrace shall lead them to their end". The end is Earth.

She was the Harbinger of Death in the sense that she would lead Humanity to its end. The end being our Earth. It would have made a lot more sense if her father was the sole Number 7 Daniel survivor that escaped Number 1's wrath. Ellen said he was a sensitive artist. Kara being the first official "in secret" hybrid child would answer the question as to why she knows the song and the coordinates to Earth and comes back as an angel. Hence making her special, having a gift, and destined for greatness.

There is a fun fan theory that this Angel of Kara's father is actually a Daniel model that survived Cavill's purge... According to the theory, he received divine visions of Caprica... Drawn to the planets artistic freedom and richness he left to the colonies to pursue his love of poetry, art and so on...This is where he met Kara's mother... He would often tell her about his divine visions and foretold of the daughter they would have whom would be a "Champion of humanity"... Kara's mother bought into it so much that she wanted to see it become a reality... They got married and had a daughter, but soon their marriage hit the skids and one day he just disappeared (Much like Kara in the finale)... Grief stricken, Kara's mother sought to keep a piece of her husband around that she filled Kara's head with Daniels visions to the point Starbuck dismissed them as mere delusions... and the rest is history... Regardless, this theory was eventually discredited by RDM stating that the Daniel plot was just supposed to be nod to Cain&Abel... Still, it's a cool theory...a could technically be canine if they ever wanted to make it that way...

I’ve come to realize this scene sums up exactly how I feel about the show. It has long since past and I can never have the feeling of experiencing it for the first time again and it’s sad. But at the same time it brings me joy to just remember it. Much like the colonials having only memories of their home, I have only memories of the show and reliving them brings me a melancholy joy.

This music is so powerful and passionate on what needs to b played for her to save mankind. The emotions and actions taking place of everyon just play d out perfectly to this music. All of them realizing they r the makers, the parents of the cyclones and the new ones is just heart beating which skips to each higher tone. Magical. ❤️☺️

That was her father. He had vanished by the time Saul approached Starbuck.

Nikoletta, Yes, visually that appears to be what occurred, but I'm of the opinion he was never physically present, only operating in Kara's consciousness. No one questions where he went, as they surely would have done, if he had actually been sitting next to her.

That thing when you put Bear McCreary’s genius score together with All Along The Watchtower INTO THE PLOT and expect people to go along with it. Well, I go along with it. This is incredible.

Great video. Do you think you could do a viedo for when Adama told his crew about the attack by the cylons as one of my favorite lines is 'As of this moment we are at war.

This scene really makes me think that Kara is the first human-cylon hybrid. Probably she is the daughter of the lost (boxed) Cylon model Daniel. This also could explain the spark between Hera and Kara :)

I don't care what she thinks.. Probably her best role ever played was that. The writing even decades later stand up better then any of the trash we have these days.
