@@realame5526 I did not play games in it, I have Adobe illustrtator and Autocad Installed along with Ms office and some other basic softwares, Biould quality is awesome.Keys are also nice.Sound is almost perfect .Battery back up is good.Not hot laptop but slighly warm under area (natural). Display is very good. Also its a smallest 14.5 inch laptop.I bought a 13.3 inck laptop sleeve and it fits perfectly .Any doubt please ask.

Great video ! What about the touchpad ? I didn't hear you talk about it (but maybe I didn't pay attention...) is it great ? I've heard that the clicking noise feels cheap and is a bit noisy.. do you agree ?

Thanks @Nathan, touchpad pretty standard, its mechanical so it does depress and does click like most mechanical trackpads I have played with in the last two years. I don't feel it stands out or does anything anything wrong so very neutral on the touchpad (kinda a good thing) was why I didn't bother covering it this time. Surface of the touchpad its smooth but not glass like smooth has a little nice friction to it just to let you know.

the laptop only have one m.2 slot which means you cannot slide another m.2 ssd, but what u can do is buy new m.2 ssd with higher capacity and slide it in

THe 14" only has one NVME slot for storage and there are no RAM expansion slots as the memory is soldered to the system board.

I'm not a CAD expert but from the look of it, it is a pretty decent performance for the price it is at. Look at the Specviewperf results; Catia, Cero, Snx and SW will give you insights on it's CAD performance.

@@marvin1136 I got the 14" since last Wednesday (typing on it right now). I had an issue using the 120hz at first but found out that it is due to the 60hz external monitor I'm using. If your room is hot, you will feel the laptop gets warm (bit uncomfortable) when you're playing games. Even so I'm very satisfied. It feels like using a Macbook Pro with better display and you can play games.

I am a soon to be freshman in College for Electrical Engineering and am seeking out to purchase my first ever laptop. My eyes caught the sight of the Lenovo slim pro 7 as it seemed to have it all. I needed a MacBook substitute as I need windows and was on the lookout for something with a good display and good battery life. I was almost about to purchase the 2023 update slim pro 7, when I found out about its updated big brother that might come out soon. The new model has the latest Zen 4 processor with the updated 40 series NVidia card. My college will be starting on the 28th of August and I NEED to buy a laptop by then. Does anyone have info on when this laptop will be available in the US. Also how much of an upgrade will this be from the smaller brother. I'm happy to max the latest one out if I can get it i.e. 32gb ram with 1 tb storage with 90hz display (for battery) with AMD Ryzen™ 7 7840HS and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4050. If anyone has any info regarding this laptop PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

I just ordered the yoga pro 7 7840hs with 4050 it’s discounted at the Lenovo site. I think it’s a little better than the 13700h because more power efficient. One thing that I don’t like is the trackpad click

@@Phil33 Hey man, ya I received my laptop last week and I can safely say it's pretty good, I went for the 13700H version and CPU temps stay 70-80 while gaming so ig I can say that the thermals are pretty good for this slim of a device. Totally agree with u on the trackpad didn't like it much, had a better one in my previous hp laptop. The biggest thing I disliked was the screen. Was previously using a led backlit touch display so the contrast ratio and the black levels on this Lenovo were a big let down and that made me think if I should have gone for asus vivobook as it had ann OLED panel But overall if I gotta rate this, it's a solid 8.5/10 laptop

Thanks @gazzachan, I run the benchmark software (PCmark10 and Procyon) which does auto scripting of playing videos and office tasks which does it in real time and drains the battery from 100% to usually 3-5% when it calculates the results. I run it at Windows power scheme of battery efficient mode but turn off any AI or features which can help save battery by software or anything to keep the results comparable with other laptops I test on this channel. Manufacturers normally uses MobileMark for which they quote their result with. I do have license to MobileMark but want to give you extra information you can't read off their site. With this Yoga Pro 7i Gen 8 it was the 3k display and the testing of this display for 200 nits or cd/m2 is at windows brightness value of 83 so it is 83% of the brightness slider on the unit I reviewed. Hope this helps understand the batter life tests I perform in my reviews.

I didn't see any Intel Evo sticker on it, though I must say it meets the requirements of Intel Evo standards from my testing the only thing that might it lack or fail in the Evo testing is the requirement of "less than 1 second wake up".

The maximum capacity of the RAM is 32GB but it is soldered so it's not upgradable after purchase of the laptop. Yoga Pro 7i only comes in two configuration, 16GB or 32GB.

Thank you for your interviewing very attractive, I bought it is intel i7 13700H, ram 16. then changed the Samsung ssd 990 pro (4x4)read speed is 7127and write speed is 6714 tested by Cristal disk mark 8 , and battery lifetime is 8h I used integrate web, KZbin and Microsoft word. If Lenovo add reserve one slot of memory is perfect.

Do not believe the synthetic battery life test - This laptop will at best deliver 4-5 hours of work if used lightly, at worst, 2-3 - its more in line with a gamer laptops battery life except it doesnt quite hold the same performance - all in all a disappointing laptopp - not quite portable due to poor battery life, not quite a gaming laptop due to a mediocre discrete graphics chip... Get a gaming laptop instead if you want to game, get a Zenbook or similar if you want portability - maybe the Pro 7i is ok for creativity because of fairly good display and ok power, just be prepared to have a power plug available... Build quality is good though....

I actually use the Lenovo for work - development and data analytics - its fine and fast for that as long you are not too far from a power plug when compiling or running other intensive tasks...

FUCK LENOVO! In Germany we don't get touch option :( Lenovo customer support is ZERO here for private customers ... Same for 2-in-1 AMD versions: only "outdated" 3+ GEN Ryzon and no 7840U choice or any hint for the 7 14 ... Nice machine but since my last two T480 I bought competitors' devices (HP etc.) Good review anyway
