பிஎஸ்என்எல் கடந்தாண்டுகளில் தனியாருக்கு நிகராக தொலைத்தொடர்பு வசதியை அளிக்க முடியாத நிலையில் பல்வேறு காரணங்களால் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் குறைந்து கடன் சுமை அதிகரித்தது.. இந்த சூழலில் தனியார் தொலைத்தொடர்பு நிறுவனங்களின் கட்டணம் 12 முதல் 25 சதவீதம் வரை உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது... இதனால் விரக்தியின் உச்சத்தில் வாடிக்கையாளர்கள் BSNL பக்கம் திரும்பி வருகின்றனர்.. கடந்த 2 வாரங்களில் மட்டும் 28 லட்சம் புதிய வாடிக்கையாளர்களை பிஎஸ்என்எல் நிறுவனம் பெற்றுள்ளது. தனியார் நிறுவனங்களில் கட்டண உயர்வு நடைமுறைக்கு வந்ததிலிருந்து மட்டும் 3 லட்சம் பேர் மற்ற நிறுவனங்களில் இருந்து பிஎஸ்என்எல் நிறுவனத்திற்கு வந்துள்ளனர். மலிவு விலை திட்டங்கள் பிஎஸ்என்எல் நிறுவனத்தில் தான் அதிகம் இருக்கிறது. இருந்தபோதும் சிம்கார்டு பெரும் பலர் பல இடங்களில் பிஎஸ்என்எல் சிக்னல் சரிவர கிடைப்பதில்லை எனவும் இணைய வேகம் குறைவாகவே இருப்பதாகவும் கருத்து தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். பிஎஸ்என்எல் நிறுவனத்தை பொருத்தமட்டில் வரும் ஜனவரி 2025 ஆம் ஆண்டு 5G சேவை அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட இருப்பதாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது... ஏற்கெனவே நாடு முழுவதும் 9 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட 4ஜி நெட்வொர்க்குகளைக் கொண்டுள்ள BSNL இந்த எண்ணிக்கையை 1 லட்சமாக அதிகரிக்க திட்டமிட்டுள்ளது.
