LaMelo has literally improved everywhere besides his timidness inside the arc... *edit* he actually is starting to hit his shots now so that has improved also* LaMelo this year is actually playing defense and he did it well the past 2 games against Indy and Dallas. LaMelo literally came into the league as a terrible shooter and now he's one of the best 3pt shooters in the league. His decision making in the passing lanes has gotten a lot better, he doesn't gamble as much. He shot 75% from the FT line in his rookie year and now he's in the mid 80s. His numbers go up every year... The improvement is so clear and I don't understand what you're seeing. Comparing him to Andrew Wiggins who didn't improve AND wasn't even good at anything but slashing is NASTY work. Only thing LaMelo hasn't gotten better at is how he shoots. LaMelo should be much better at the rim but he just settles for bad shots and shoots for fouls every time it seems like (and obviously he isn't getting those calls cuz he's a young player). Not to mention LaMelo has had everything against him since coming into the league. If you think about the other highly touted rookies in 2020 they were thrown into the fire and embraced. LaMelo was backing up Devonte' Graham and Borrego wouldn't even allow LaMelo to truly lead this team and never embraced him. Yet with him having to work his way into the starting lineup, he got ROTY. Yet while his coach was working AGAINST him he got an all star nod in his 2nd year... And lead a bad Hornets team to a 500+ record with his great playmaking. When has Andrew Wiggins ever done any of that? The conversations yall have about LaMelo even though I'm pretty sure the last time anyone ever watched LaMelo play was his rookie year ( and im sure im being EXTREMELY generous giving yall games when I know most of yall watched the highlights that was forced down your throats) are extremely nasty. Ya'll give so much slack to his peers like Ant, Hali, Desmond Bane, Maxey, Vassell, but when it comes to LaMelo ya'll treat him like he's James Wiseman. You guys are so weird... Hali has literally never made it to the PLAY IN and he is somehow considered a more winning player than LaMelo who actually had a 500 record with a team before and has always made it to the play in when he's healthy... Hali is great but we gotta recognize that LaMelo is too. I remember during LaMelo's ALL STAR YEAR people were comparing him to Jordan Poole and Kevin Porter Jr. you guys are disgusting af lol

Haliburton messed up his dribble
@InsiteVFX10 ай бұрын
@@blocblackboyblack9226 He messed it up, picked it back up, and then got his shit poked? Also LaMelo's pressure on him was good. Why are you even bringing that up? I said games not clips LOL this is what I mean, u are a highlight watcher. U dont watch LaMelo so stop talking about him. And LaMelo played good defense on Hali there so it makes even less sense to bring that up. If Anthony Edwards did that shit you would be saying "THAT MF GOT CLAMPED OMGG!!" but since its LaMelo he just "lost his dribble" lmfaoo
@trizmillz222210 ай бұрын
I kinda get where you’re coming from but you shouldn’t have brought up Hali or the pacers game. Lamelo only had 2 steals on top of the 4/15 shooting and the 6 turnovers. Lamelo had 11 assists though but Hali had 12. Lamelo had 11 points Hali had 43 with the same amount of rebounds as a taller guard in lamelo. I like lamelo but even though it’s early in the season he’s been shooting tour dates recently. He’s been simply outplayed by his peers ant/hali and yeah hes been injured but the best ability is availability.
@InsiteVFX10 ай бұрын
@@trizmillz2222 I brought Hali up to talk about LaMelo's available years. I literally said nothing about this year, you're the one bringing that up when its irrelevant. Obviously LaMelo is gonna be ass when he hasnt played NBA basketball for nearly a year and basically lost his entire 3rd season to injury. He is having a slow start and needs time. You guys dont need to be so reactionary. Also like I said. Why the fuck are you guys bringing up box score numbers with his defense? His 2 steals doesnt tell u shit. LaMelo basically averages 2 steals a game for his career. LaMelo has always averaged steals even when he was a dogshit defender as a rookie. His hands for the passing lanes has always been there. Also Hali and Ant are playing on teams with much better coaching and much better players. LaMelo exploded for 23 points in the 4th Q against Dallas and instead of feeding the hot hand, Steve Clifford instead had the bright idea to force feed a freezing cold Gordon Hayward for points. You guys do not watch these games. Also you can bring up Hali outplaying him but LaMelo literally just outplayed Luka. Who is even better. Give LaMelo time. And stick to what we were talking about. Let me also add that I said that we should recognize that they are BOTH great young PGs. I never even said anything about who is better?

The problem is people just don't watch the Hornets. You made the comparison to Andrew Wiggins at the beginning of the video .Lamelo and And Andrew Wiggins don't belong in the same sentence honestly
