Very interesting and thought-provoking video -- thank you Sir. If I may share a small tip here which helps me as a learner... We can take a KZbin video of some song that we like, and create a short "clip" using the feature that is available along with Like, share, download just below the video description section. If we find one part confusing, too fast, or too detailed, then we can create a very short clip and play it again and again. We can even play it as background music while doing other stuff. After this the subconscious mind will easily grasp the finer points of that line. Each clip that we process in this way, will make the remaining stuff easier to follow. Thanks again Sir!

Once again Bahot khub Ashwin Bhai 👌🏻🙏🏻 Ek aur baat add karna chahunga, pata nahi chote mu badi baat hojayegi cause I am not full time musician. To aapke jitna dnyan nahi hai Sangeet ka. To wo baat ye ke, maine kabhi notation padhke basuri nahi seekhi. Isliye mai notation Nikal nahi pata. Par Mai jo bhi gaane bajata hu basuri par wo sabko samaz aate hai. So I have learnt from this experience ke (again it's my personal opinion) achha bajaneke liye aapko notation samaz paana zaruri hai, must hai ya mandatory hai, Aisa bilkul nahi hai. Agar koi Aisa samaz Raha hai ke muze notation nikaalna nahi ata Matalab Mai kabhi achha musician nahi ban paunga to ye sochna galat hai. Aisa sochke sangeet seekhna rok na dena please. Jaisa ke Ashwin Bhai ne end me bola hai techniques hona achhi bat hai but uska application kaha karna hai, is baat ki jankari hona jyada important baat hai. Notation se badhkar baat ye hai ke, Jo bhi music tune ya (gaana) bajana chahte ho wo feel ke saath sahi, perfect bajna chahiye ya sunaai Dena chahiye bas. Fir notation padhke bajao ya fir Bina notation padhe. Har ek note (swar) ki alag alag frequency hoti hai. Aur Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet ke do raagome KABHI KABHI same note (swar) alag alag frequency ke saath bajaaya aur gaaya jata hai. Carnatic Sangeet me jisko alag Shruti ke saath bajana kahte hai. To suron Ko nazakat aur feel ke saath bajate aana jyada important hai Aisa muze lagta hai. Agar koi SIRF notation bajata hai then it sounds like a dead song to me. Kyoki usme feel ya bhav hi nahi hota. Firse ye kahna chahunga ke Muze Ashwin Bhai aapke jitna knowledge nahi hai. But jo bhi muze Laga wo pramaanikta purvak likha hai. Shayad meri kuchh baaton ke saath aap sehmat na ho. To please uske baare me reply me likhiye. Hame bhi kuchh Naya seekhne mil jayega. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Your gayaki style of playing is amazing. You have achieved on flute what Dr Rajam did on violin. Both remind me pt omkarnath jis singing. Your explanations have perhaps the highest density of information. Thanks a lot for opening 36th chamber of flute instruction. I have no formal training in music but I can directly hear notes if played on instruments. However, when it comes to vocals I am clueless. Kindly guide me. One suggestion. Sir James Galway has a online course for 100 USD and renewable every year. It will be great if you can offer such a course. Thanks for patience.

This is a mind lifting presentation that you have shared with all of us. I thank my remote friend for sending me this link. I am a beginner in flute and long to attain a good partnership with it before I leave this world :). I do not have any guru as my profession doesn't allow me to have so but still, I devote time (not adequate!!!) after I return home. Your video has proved to be the motivator in this regard and I hope to find more like this. This could also help us to connect to our true inner self which is probably the goal for all of us. I thank you once again and hope to have more lessons from you. You said that you do not consider yourself as a Guru but honestly, for most of us, you are more than competent.
