Instead of adding to my btc stash, I thought I would buy $5,000 of MSTR at the split at $149 per share a few weeks ago, for a change, then went nah and bought $$5,000 of btc at $58,000. MSTR is now $250, btc is $73,000, I still don't know which is the best buy. But I'm keeping it simple buying the underlying assett and hodling. Love the show, but as a non financial type of guy, although at times the message is complicated, I love the way you get the message across. Best wishes for the future. John

42 weeks ago I decided to change investing tack. Didn't know what only "keep doing what you've done get what always got". Divested everything. In March found Invest Answers. Bought some Tesla. As proceeds came in bought things, made some mistakes (had ARKK for 6 weeks🤦). My bag is simplified with a disruption theme. TSLA, prop, BTC, SOL, PTLR, MSTR, HYGG, DCC, JUP. And now I need to wait a year and I hope to have 🤞 enough.

No. For bonds, they are the best performing on the market.

I bought clean spark at the time rather than mstr as both were mean to be good. Not only am I down 50% roughly but I missed out on mstr gains. Sometimes it’s a matter of luck and this year I’ve had 0 luck even though I listen to you every day. Not sure how I can change this but I really want to improve.

Most of the debt is “convertible“ meaning it will convert into (be repaid in) new MSTR share creation. Interest rates are so low the loans can be serviced until maturity by cashflow generated from software business. Bitcoin never leaves the balance sheet. Loans get repaid in new stock shares. “Accretive dilution.” Hope that helps.

I think one of your major assumptions is wrong. When MSTR issues convertible bonds, they are raising the capital up front and in return the shares are being given out at a set price determined at the date of issuance. The difference between the price of MSTR when the convertible bond holder converts the bonds to shares and the date of issuance is the bond bond holders profit. You cannot assume the shares being issued are diluting MSTR at the future expected price of $546. You would have to dilute them at the present value price at the date of issuance.

One important aspect of achieving BTC yield through convertibles is that the conversion price is 30% or so ABOVE current share price.
