don't forget you can use lord of the abyss for extra water placements and ultraboost for extra farming if you want, I had over a million saved up with it though so maybe it's not exactly necessary

For elite bosses you have to be active buying/selling. Normal bosses can be done casually.

Data Miners can see the boss events in the game files ahead of time, so they can practice it on Boss Challenges then just do it again when the event goes live
