A very simple case of misunderstanding. The phrase "work your ass off" is not an insult but it is not used commonly among regular Kenyans. So let's just say Jalongo used this phrase simply to say work very hard but it was not understood that way by the young man and his people. He sincerely feels Jalango insulted him because he helped him.
