You can't go wrong. Both good. Where are your main viewing angles? Do you have a room off to the side, like 90°? The full extension was on sale for $99 at one point but its very worth the $139 especially if your tv is 65 or larger. It's very fluid and easy to use. I have a video on both. I turn my TV 2 to 3 times a day to watch from dinner table, and the kids do, so i like the full arms. That one is rather flat for how well it extends. This is for if you prefer more flush look

@irvinggelbart84933 жыл бұрын
I purchased this mount, but was told that a 65" or larger tv may vibrate, possibly compromising the sturdiness,because of the drywall and metal studs. Will this mount work on metal studs, or am I better off using drywall anchors, not necessarily mounted in the metal studs? Thanks in advance, great video!
@JonAhlquist3 жыл бұрын
Drywall alone is not strong enough to hold a TV for long. You need to attach a TV mounting bracket to wood or metal studs. This Stanus STL3-B1 mount can handle a TV up to 110 pounds (50 kg) if attached to steel studs, but it requires a Steel Stud Kit #SSMK1, which is not included in the package. Call customer service at 1-888-333-1376 to inquire about the additional hardware. This is explained on page 2 of the manual and with the detailed "steel stud" mounting instructions on page 14. Get the manual here: www.costco.com/wcsstore/CostcoUSBCCatalogAssetStore/Attachment/1907031+Manual.pdf If you have to mount to metal studs, I recommend watching specific KZbin videos on the subject, such as kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5zKdGqsm82hhac I have not experienced TV vibration, but a Google search shows that the problem can exist.

Can you explain why you like the 1/4" drill bit instead of the 7/32"?
@BTheInstaller4 жыл бұрын
1/4" is the normal sized lag bolt used on most mounts. That is the bit I use for all installs unless its the smaller 3/16" lag bolts. Both 1/4" and 7/32" bits will create a hole that will work for those lag bolts. 1/4 is more common and useful and the threads will suck so tight, you'll have bo doubt its secure.

When the tv is mounted , does it need to pushed back against the wall? Or can it be left out, off the wall? My current TV sits on a stand between two bookshelves (about 120cm apart). Thinking of buying a 65” tv but it will need to be mounted on the wall and the bracket permanently extended out to sit in front of the bookshelves, which have a depth of 28cm. So the tv will sit a foot off the wall. Is the bracket designed to hold the tv in such a position?
