From what I can see there is a 50/50 % chance illia is serious about moving up to fight oliviera, it has nothing to do with negotiating more money thats nonsense, illia threatening the ufc to move up if they don't give him more money is absurd. To me from watching illia in several interviews, tweets and others its clear he really wants to fight Islam next or very soon cause thats the biggest fight he can make right now, the problem is Islam isn't intrested and he said it many times including recently when asked at ufc 311 conference, topuria doesn't intrest him. Islam said manny times he isn't intrested in giving another chance against small guys he already gaved volk two chances now it's his turn to get his shot for a second belt. So when tuporia says "I want to fight oliviera cause he is the n1 contender " to me it means he wants make it impossible for Islam to not accept the fight, by destroying oliviera at 155. If illia doesn't become the number 1 contender at 155 he won't fight for the 155 belt until 2026 or even later, cause Islam is not fighting for the 170 belt until mohamed loses it. Ppv points isn't a problem Poirier gets ppv points without even having a belt, conor fought diaz two times without the belt on the line, topuria can negotiate a similar deal. But I don't think he is gonna vacate his belt until he beat oliviera incase he loses and has to go back down

JDM can absolutely (and in my opinion should) get a title shot if he fights and beats Usman in Sydney in February. Especially if he finishes him. He is currently on a 7 fight win streak, with 5 finishes.

Hope Buckley gets a finish over colby and a quick turn around to fight belal (if shavkat can't) because I believe he may really be able to beat belal

I think one more win over somebody better than covington should get him a title shot. Currently he has JDM, Shavkat, Ian Garry, Leon all ahead of him in line for that 170 belt. Actually if he beats Colby, Ian Garry might be a really good matchup for Buckley. It's like Wonderboy again but younger and a better grappler, a good test for someone like Buckley (if he gets past Covington, I assume he will)

@cloudmaster182 agreed about Garry vs Buckley being a good next fight. But I am speaking of timing, Garry coming off a loss shouldn't get the title shot, JDM has been out too long and that burns win doesn't have me convinced he has anything to compete with Belal's grappling, shavkat may be out for a long time and Leon isn't getting the rematch. Belal says he is training again, so if he wants to fight in March it will be perfect timing for Buckley and too short of a window for any of those other names to get a fight in and turnaround to fight the champ. Just saying I see there is a good possibility this is a perfect storm for a Buckley title shot

Revenue shares, fair compensation, livable wages/salaries, all a bunch of liberal BS. No job is harder than doing drywall

@@daviddean2082 it hasn’t destroyed boxing at all… boxing is broken on purpose so they actually get their fair share. Top boxers get $30 to even $100 mil and still fight regularly. Fury and Usyk will have earned nearly $200m each since Usman last fought.
