I was 10 years old when this came out. I was a kiwi kid who lived in Brisbane for 5 years in the 80's and will never forget this song. It was and still is iconic.

It’s not a rip-off. Love You Brisbane is a true original - launched in 1982 on BTQ-7 Brisbane and lasted until 1988. TVW-7 Perth actually borrowed this tune 3 years later for their Love You Perth station promo in 1985. So no, it’s not a rip-off at all. Please be sure you know all the correct information before you go posting stuff like “A rip off Love You Perth” in the comments.
