I've never had a problem with people who feel that bts isn't their cup of tea, but what upsets me is when people try to write them off as overrated without giving them a fair chance. There's a reason they are where they are. They are such hard working artists and genuinely kind people that I feel that they deserve all their success and more 💜. Sorry to break it to you but BTS is truly highly overrated group. Their vocals,rap,dance,songs are mediocre in kpop. There's much better groups out there who are 100x more talented than BTS.

Ooooh! I’m 66, my husband is 67, and we’d have been there, but he’s still working. It’s really true - the ones who start out the most skeptical and dismissive end up as the most zealous ARMY. And that includes hardcore rap, vocal and dance fans/critics/teachers/practitioners.

Their title tracks are nice and all but once you dive into the discography you will realize their B side tracks are where the gems are. All my favorite comforting songs from them are B-sides. Suga has a song about his love of the piano and music, it's really goooood! "First Love"

I am 71 and so in love with these guys. You will hear Jungkook say he was 15 when he joined, but Koreans don't count years the way we do. By international age (like us) he was only 13. None of them were from Seoul and all moved away from home. As the oldest, Jin took on Jungkook. He made sure he got up, had breakfast and then drove him to school. You sort of lost your breath over V. He has been named most handsome man in the world more than once. Good luck. You're going to need it.

When you said you like chill songs, a few immediately came to mind (just the tip of the iceberg!): Pied Piper, Paradise, 134340, Anpanman, Airplane Pt 2, Telepathy, Butterfly, Whalien 52, Spring Day, Make It Right (most of these are B-sides) Each of the members also have their own pretty chill solo songs: - Jin: Awake, Epiphany, Abyss, Moon, Yours - Suga: Moonlight, First Love, So Far Away ft Suran (there's also a version ft Jin & Jeongguk), , Trivia: Seesaw, People - J-Hope: Daydream, Airplane, Trivia: Just Dance, MAMA, = (Equal Sign) - RM: Reflection, Trivia: Love, Moonchild, Seoul, Forever Rain - Jimin: Serendipity, Lie, Promise, Filter, Christmas Love - V: Singularity, Sweet Night, Winter Bear, Scenery, Inner Child - Jeongguk: Begin, Euphoria, Still With You, Stay Alive, My Time And as for not having a bias, I can completely empathise! I relate to and therefore gravitate to Suga the most, but cannot say with any confidence that I have a favourite 😂😅 Thanks for this very sweet reaction!

the magic of bts, though they have great title tracks as well, is in their b-sides. they pay so much attention to every single track in every aspect, musically and lyrically, every song is a part of an overarching concept and story of an album or an album trilogy. they have no throwaways or those album fillers that are there just for the sake of being there. it's what makes them stand out.

The original concept for BTS was for them to be a hip hop group therefore knowing that it's not really surprising that they signed the rappers first. Also, just a tip, as you begin your trip down this rabbit hole, count on ARMY to guide you through the process. Trust them to do that and they won't steer you wrong.

Jimin’s core strength is incredible due to his martial arts and dance training. He does a lot of aerial dance moves. If he’s flying, it’s probably Jimin.

As for Bias' Jimin is my Ultimate Bias (like i love him a ridiculous amount), JK(Jungkook yeah you can say it with a g it's more accurate) is my Bias too, Yoongi(Suga) and Hobi(Jhope) are my bias wreckers .....and Taehyung (V), Jin and Joon (RM) wink at me a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jimin really does hold a special place though i'll always go back to him...it's like this connection that i can't even begin to explain. ANyway the import think to take from this is a love them all lots and lots and lots...............

Jimin is the reason I got into BTS. He's my ultimate bias, though I have a double bias (Jimin & Jungkook) in BTS, with the rest wrecking me all the time. The seven of them are just so, so special. Different and comforting. Warm and understanding even when I don't know them personally. BTS really are a wonder to behold. They make you wish you'd found them before but also make you understand that THEY found you when you needed them the most. Yoongi (Suga) said "don’t feel regretful that you weren’t there since our debut. the day when you first met us, is the day we debuted." As someone who has struggled with crippling mental health issues for almost two decades, including self-hatred and self-harm, BTS' lyrics really move me to the core. I never used to cry or find comfort in music, it was not my thing at all. BTS changed that, their music makes me gain a little bit of strength to put into loving myself. Songs such as Epiphany, Answer: Love Yourself, etc, really are cathartic for me to the point where I know that I can go to them whenever I feel like I don't want to be me. And just, reading about them, watching Run BTS or their series make me smile when I feel like I can't. This is what we mean when we say that BTS have helped us to learn how to love ourselves. I have said these exact words over and over again as I try to explain why I love BTS and ARMY. Why I spend, and have spent every single day of the last 3-4 years spending at the very least, a small portion of my day with BTS. Whether it’s listening to their music, watching clips or videos (fan-made or HYBE or reactions) of them, reading articles or fan fiction, or socialising on some social platforms with ARMY. Every day has something BTS related. And people can call me obsessed but, there is something about engrossing yourself in a relationship or a place or a hobby that makes you happy and then there is something even better when that same something makes others around you happy. I am obsessed with being happy and seeing people be happy and I want to be a part of it all the time. BTS and ARMY allow me to do that, they help me to BE happy. There is something about spreading that joy and happiness to others that is also addictive. BTS and Army also allow that feeling to spread from more that just watching them. They have this quality that makes you want to do things that make others happy. Charitable stuff, spreading words that uplift others, creating stuff that others get joy from and just giving it out, being a supportive person that others can talk to or lean on, being open and understanding and welcoming of things that absolutely should be the norm but often aren’t, and even being open and honest about your own issues and troubles so others can heal from it; stand up for what's right and fight discrimination of all kind... hat’s what BTS army and BTS do. That’s what they teach and promote. That’s why they are important. Be good. Do better. Help others. Love. Support. Uplift. Actions speak better than words, But words can be a start. And BTS leads by example. I’m 28 years old. I have been through… a lot. I have experienced a lot. I have taught a lot. And yet because of these past 3-4 years… I find myself consistently learning new things. “Army” life constantly surprises me. “Army” life constantly surprises me. And regardless of the toxicity that leaks in from a minuscule amount of "fans", I’m always in awe of the kindness, warmth and sincerity that clears the air. When BTS arrived in my life I was laying in bed 90% of my days. Depression and a chronic illness weighed me down and BTS pulled me up. They helped me laugh and move and now it makes me happy to help others do the same. Sorry about the novel. Apparently I felt like it was story time. I’m done now. Having a bias doesn't mean you are a solo stan. I'm Suga biased but also I am ot7. Reason is, what Suga experienced growing up, some of it, I experienced it as well. With his OCD, Social Anxiety, and an injury while working. Also we both love 90's hiphop/rap, these are the music I grew up with. Eventhough Suga was born in '93, he has a lot of knowledge about that music. So I feel a connection. I am also and will always be ot7 because I love all of them and without BTS I probably wouldn't even be here. I will love each and everyone of them even until I'm old. It depends on how you define it. I've met solo stan and believe me they're not army. It is not a bad thing having a bias. What's a bad thing is you only love one member and you talk bad things about the rest of them. I had to delete my tiktok and block some people of twitter because there are a lot of solo stans that for me I do not consider an army. Each member I hold them dear to my heart and I support each and every single member in every possible way that I can. As long as they're happy in what they do then army will be happy.. real army. 💜 Best thing we could do as an army is to love and support them all and to not be toxic towards other people.

Got into BTS myself for the first time a few months ago it’s been such a fun journey so far deep diving into their music, artistry, and personalities. Though I have lost some sleep getting sucked in to watching the metric fuckton of content there is to enjoy KZbin for hours on end. I can honestly say that I am proud to now consider myself ARMY. And yes, it’s hard to have a bias when every single member is just so wonderful and talented.

I am OT7, meaning I love and respect all 7, but I am Namjoon biased. He is the first member who got my attention. I felt a connection to him from the beginning. I think having a bias doesn't mean having a favorite. I think it just means that the connection you feel to that member is different. I am glad you are taking the time to get to know them. They are truly incredible people and a once in a lifetime act. A lot of people don't get it but, for so many of us, BTS has literally saved our lives.

I'm 53 and I am part of a group of 40+ fans... most of who are 50 and above. All genders, all nationalities. The cool thing though, is I'm also in a group for ARMY in my city. That has fans in their 20's to 50's.... and we don't notice the age difference, we don't see color or gender... we are just ARMY and we are there for each other through thick and thin. When I moved to a new city, ARMY there took me in like I was family. So now I have so many friends and we go out and do fun things I never thought I'd do. Before I found BTS, only my sisters were my friends. They really brought so much love and joy into my life.

Suga is my bias and I have 6 bias wreckers I love BTS for their music but also for their integrity as people. i was at first drawn to V's deep sensual voice and JK's passionate powerful dance as well. but watching more of them, Jin's honey high voice and fascinating personality really punched me hard. then there's RM's poetry like lyric and also his music taste really fit me so well, i love his work the most. like the little bit retro pop rock with modern twist. but i also very admire J-Hope. his professionalism and dedication. never put himself first, always give the center to others. taking care of everyone. and even though he's actually a very pessimistic and timid person, but he never show any negativity to us, and didn't back down from taking great challenges for members and the music career. also there's Jimin, he wasn't even supposed be in the group actually. the PD, manager, song creator all think hes not ready yet, but he took every opportunity to learn and practice. he knows no give up. Jimin said he never success at the first time doing anything, but he will success in the end. he is the real man. for suga, hes a cat and i love cat lol just kidding. i love how hes always quietly stay in the back watching the members. like their secret guardian. he suffered 8 years of shoulder pain. thats real dedication and love and i don't even need to say anything else. anyway my point is, no matter who draw you into, it's too hard not to love all 7 of them if you knowing them more and more lol they are much younger than me, but they teach me a lot about how to live my life as a better person. they not just amazing rappers singers dancers artists, but real 'idols' people can inspired by them.

I NEVER liked rap ever in my life. Until I found BTS. I'm not lying: I hated rap. I couldn't see the point in it. I didn't think it was "real" music (I know I was an idiot, sorry). But now I'm 100% rap line biased (love all 7 members though). j-hope is my ultimate bias. The rap line just found a way to connect with me. Their lyrics and their delivery on stage. I was blown away by j-hope stage presence (didn't know who he was at the time). I still don't really listen to any other rap than BTS. I think j-hope helped me to get into the rap line because he often does "melodic" rap.

Same boat. Never really liked rap, until BTS. I still gravitate towards the vocalists, but I have so much respect for RM, Suga, and J-Hope and love quite a few of their songs actually.

When you get around to listening to Friends by Jimin and V, I really recommend watching some context videos regarding their friendship as they reference a lot of inside jokes throughout the song, the video on BTS's channel with both of them talking about the song is informative to know more about 'the dumpling incident' which is pretty much bangtan legend at this point lmao, and because of this V wrote 4 o'clock about both their argument and friendship in general, which is on Soundcloud and soo worth a listen! :)

Every army has a bias but all other 6 are their bias wreckers too 😂. Btw my bias is Suga and Hobi but all 5 members wreck my bias time to time. When I first started my BTS journey, I thought JK would be my bias. At that time, Suga was my least favorite. The more I listened to their songs, Suga QUICKLY rose to being my favorite because I relate to him so much. The things he says in his raps, his personality, is very similar to me and my experiences. Its amazing how my least favorite member shot up to be my bias.

I did this too! I call it a double bias now, but that was how it happened. And then Suga's interactions with Jimin on Run BTS led me to Jimin as well 🤣 He's ethereal and beautiful and I didn't really fall for him until I saw him bickering with Yoongi 😂

Hi 👋, thanks for checking out BTS thru Taylor's video. You must have realized by now that they're different from the usual western boy bands bec of their wide discography. I'm a 59 y/o working mom with 3 grown children and BTS came into my life at a time when I needed them. When my daughter introduced them to me, the first thing that caught my attention was their lyrics ..it spoke to me. Ever since then in early 2021, I never looked back and became part of the Army 😊. In my 30yrs existence, i've never heard an artist whole discography that I like. I like many artists before BTS but all of their tracks are a hit or miss for me. But with BTS' songs, i like all of them. I have least favorites, but those songs are still really amazing. I have a playlost with like 300 tracks from them. Including their solo stuff, i treat them like babies that i always put it on shuffle i want to hear all of them every now and then. I play the song where I stopped the last time. All songs are amazing for me. The lyrics are good not trash. Bts is one of the best things that came in my life. 🫰🏻

Yes SUGA was the one that got his shoulder shattered in an accident and kept it from the members and the company in fear of being kicked out . He was poor that time and don't have another option which is why he work multiple part time jobs, apart from attending school and working hard as a trainee.

So my bias story goes as such... I've mentioned in prior comments that I recently became a fan, my daughter has been a fan for years. I had the awesome opportunity to take her to Permission to Dance in Las Vegas back in April which was an amazing experience. So in 3 weeks time, I tried to jam pack as much information in as I could. At that time, Taehyung (V) also stuck out to me. Mainly for visuals and swagger. Of course with that mind set, most of the pictures and videos I have from the concert are of him. Fast forward to coming back from the concert and being introduced to the lesser known and their variety shows and whatnot, it was very apparent other members stuck out to me more. (And now I have all these pictures of Taehyung from the concert). I stan vocalists in other groups so I thought it would be the same for BTS. And like many of my other biases, they chose me, I didn't choose them. My main, first official bias, is J-Hope. I can't explain why I fell in love with him but he always puts a smile on my face and when he dropped his latest album, I was so pleasantly excited for the side of himself he shared with that music. But for some reason, there is a member that holds a deep, special place in my heart. While J-Hope is the member that gives people hope with his sunshine.... watching, witnessing and just his overall outlook on life has me wanting to hug this other man until eternity to allow his soul to radiate through me. He reminds me of myself and my personality. He is someone I could sit in a room with for days and never get bored. He also puts a smile on my face but for different reasons. He's at a different level and more special than a bias to me. And that's Min Yoongi.

The first time i got into bts when i saw their mv,i was attracted to the maknae line(Jimin,V,Jungkook) but getting into them like after 1 week,I suddenly love the Hyung line(RM,Jin,Suga,J-Hope). But the moment i realise i didn't have a bias was when an army asked me who was my bias. I went totally blank because i love them all!That was the moment i knew i was an 0T7💜 So to all armys out there,it's totally okay to not have a bias!Trust me,being an 0T7 is moree better♡

both jimin's appearance and voice are quite angelic lol tho he still hasn't decided if he is an angel or a fairy skjadkljskdjksf. hope you enjoy your journey with bts, and if you want to go through a rollercoaster of emotions and learn about their carrer and struggles from the very beggining, i recomend you react to "the rise of bangtan series", a fan made documentarie with 20 something episodes that is just amazing and gets me crying everytime i rewatch it :))))

Being a kpop stan you usually have a bias, bias wrecker(s), the one youre in love with, the one you adopted and treat as your baby, the one youre completely whipped for and the one that lives rent free All of these titles can belong to different members and they can change places at any time, as many times as needed.
