If you are depressed, having thoughts of suicide, or self-harming, know there is help and you’re not alone. While coping with painful emotions, many people might self-harm or experience suicidal thinking. Talking to a mental health care provider can help determine if you have a mental illness that requires care. It can also help you identify healthy, effective coping strategies and develop skills to manage difficult feelings. For a resource near you, please visit: support.google.com/websearch/answer/11181469

I love this. I've been army since 2017. My mom became army during the pandemic. Last September she he had a heart attack. We thought she would recover so I bought tickets for us to see them in Vegas. She passed before the concert but made me promise to go for us. I went and when they sang blue and grey there I felt her and cried so much. She was army till the end

If I may, could you exchange (6:00) the pictures of the sick lying in bed, and of the tomb? I don't feel like it is needed for the narrative, and is definitely angst inducing. You could show instead positive pictures of these persons... it would definitely help watching IMO. Thanks for your hard work, I am sorry I can't watch any further than this point because of what I mentionned.

Hi, thank you for sharing this. I've self harmed and also a survivor of attempted suicide. I just want to say that to anyone struggling right now, that you will get through this and the sun will shine brightly for you. I was in an abusive marriage, didn't think I would be free, but I am. Even though my life isn't exactly how I want it to be, I can honestly say I am so much happier. I have freedom and learning to enjoy the small things in life again. Please please please seek help, you are such a precious person and life without you would be unbearable for your loved ones. I can honestly say I am so very glad I am alive.

This is insane. I am doing psychology college and I want to talk about the impact BTS's music has in mental health, and it has been hard to separate my army side from my work side. Today i had a really difficult feedback and i wondered if i really should talk about them but as i was scrooling my screen phone i came across this video so i will take this as a sign and i won't give up. Martha…do it girl!! You never know who you may help, it could be one or even more that may need to hear what you have to say. So many are lost and hurting in this world and it may be God and or even BTS who gives them hope and healing. It does not matter where they get it from, as long as it helps them. I believe one of the reasons BTS helps us so much is because of their sincerity, which has not changed since 2013 when they debuted. Not only do they help us, we help them also. Hold your head up, do not lower it, go with confidence and I know you will do well.

My very first time seeing BTS ever was during my cancer treatment…. I was watching videos while getting chemo. I seen Jin becoming shy when an army called him handsome and how he turned around to hide his face in his staff… it caught my heart. So cute and innocent. I truly became army that day.

I’m over here crying. These ARMYs in the video…I’ve never met them and I probably never will but they’re like family you know? It’s interesting because as I was watching this I realized that just recently when I got my mother into BTS we randomly sit together and talk about some hard things that we’ve held inside for decades and somehow BTS is always brought up. I don’t know how I hadn’t put that together yet. Lots of finger hearts for everyone 💜

I hope you all are doing well :) And to ARMYs that watch this: I hope you always stay happy and healthy. This world is not easy to navigate. Things can happen in succession that make it feel like everyone is against you. Sometimes it’s just one thing. But please know that that feeling won’t last forever. Please don’t give up. We are not here just for ourselves... we are here to love and care for each other. BTS has made an impact of hope and speaks out to people's needs emotionally. Mine included. I needed to laugh, and so Run BTS and Soops helped me to laugh - the projects are not like reality programs (here in the west) although I know their episodes do have driven themes talked about beforehand. Watching them play together makes me feel like they are pretty much like my little brothers. I know Namjoon doesn't like Chocolate Mint, Jin loves fishing, Suga writes constantly and is very dry and savage, quick-witted, Hobi is full of laughter and is a scared cat and I know he gets mad and they are afraid of him!😅😅😅 Jimin is kind and always caring - the boy can dance, Tae is uncanny and a marvel to me, love him to death, then there is the "Everything Man" JK, that kid is fearless and loves his leader, so polite and kind.

Jeff…I was thinking, while watching you react to Taylor’s video, “ when are they going to show the interviews they had with ARMY”? Here it is! First of all, I do hope BTS watches these so they can see how much they have helped others which I am sure they do, but to actually see the interviews would impact them as it did me. I cried and smiled hearing their stories. There are so many hurting in this world and if it takes BTS to help them heal, it’s a good thing. It’s funny, but I am missing BTS during their Hiatus, because I check every day from my favorite reactors anything about them. It may be past content, it does not matter what it is, I watch it. My family just smiles at me and are a little puzzled as to why I like them so much, I guess because I am 66 years old maybe? I never and I mean never, followed any singer or group except BTS. I have been a fan going on five years and if there is one thing I know, they are sincere and consistent and that has not changed since their Debut. They make me cry, laugh out loud, and give me “warm fuzzy feelings”.😊. I could go on, but I will stop. Seriously, thank you and Taylor and anyone else behind the scenes for putting this together. I am going to recommend this video to all my reactors I subscribe to and any new ones I watch that react to BTS. Well done!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Hi, my name is Tainara, and I'm from Mozambique, Africa. I started listening to BTS in 2021 and I swear sometimes I beat myself up for not listening to them earlier. But I heard someone say You always meet BTS in the correct moment, the moment where you will need them the most and its true because in 2021 I started dealing with a lot of anxiety and depression, it was so hard and it still is hard to deal with, but BTS they make me feel understood heard and appreciated. Here in Africa people are still not used to other people listening to kpop I think, many people here are close-minded, but I don't care. BTS makes me happy and I will always have them in my life. It's super comforting knowing that no matter what happens to me in life, no matter where I go, they will always be there for me.

I lost my big brother last September, a seemingly healthy person who became severely ill, had multi organ failure and went into a coma to never wake again in a matter of days. My family all too shocked to even grieve and function. The only thing I could hold onto tightly in desperation through my numbest and darkest days was BTS. Their music and even their fan compilations of fellow ARMY was the only flicker of hope to keep me afloat and give me strength to survive through the nightmare, especially Jin who gave me reasons to smile through my numbness and Yoongi giving me strength to fight through the darkness and for that I will be forever grateful 💜. It’s really strange and miraculous how we are all interwoven into this intricate web of pain and darkness and laughter and healing. I am only sharing all this for that one person who is scared and in pain and in darkness who will maybe read this and know they are not alone. I hope you just blindly and tightly hold on to hope and we will get through to the end of the tunnel. Just believe this too shall pass. You may come out in pieces but you will come out of it and heal. Just trust the process 💜💜💜

I felt like I have to share this but I'll try to keep it short. Before the pandemic, I felt like everyday I've been battling suicidal thoughts. When I'm alone at home, I would shout and mostly cry by myself. I've thought of leaving this world so many times. Very insomniac. Cut short to pandemic period. I was getting deaf 😅 listening to my nephew sing Dynamite all day, everyday. Then my brother said, why don't you listen to it. I did but dynamite didn't really grab my attention. Then, one day I saw Mic Drop out of nowhere, and immediately, Suga caught my attention. I googled him, listened to The Last and Epiphany (just a coincidence, right?). And God, I cried for hours. Those were like a slap to my face. Then I saw BS&T, and this song made me dove deep into BTS and the fandom. It was a glorious treat - musically, lyrically, symbolically, cinematographically too. And there's Outro:Tear. Pretty much, they help me love and forgive myself more. Started exercising, eating healthy, connected with other ARMYs, loving my job and life more. As I'm typing this, I'm getting teary eyed because of the rush of emotions. Words will never be enough to express how thankful I am to BTS and their songs. Now, I remind myself everyday to Stay Gold.

Thank you so much for sharing these stories with us. I discovered BTS by accident in mid-2019 when I was in a dark and lonely place. Thanks to their music and their messages I realized that I am not alone or the only one to have these difficulties. Thanks to them I met several Army that have now become my dear friends. They literally saved me. I don't know where life will take me as a fan or as a human, but I know for a fact that I will be eternally grateful to those 7 guys. As a baby Army I often wondered why I hadn't started following them earlier. But one day a senior Army replied to me: "BTS come into your life at the exact moment you need them. Not a moment before, not a moment later. But when destiny is fulfilled". And I think it's true.

@@myshownvjhope 🙄 It's called using something to improve yourself. It could be anything, but BTS is very good at helping people get through things since much of their music is very healing. BTS themselves are a joy, and ARMY can be very welcoming. Which can provide community, and humans are social animals with many _needing_ that. As for cults, BTS couldn't be further from that, and one should never devalue that word and the harm a cult can bring. Cult: A group or movement exhibiting: great or excessive devotion or dedication to some person, idea, or thing, and employing unethical manipulative or coercive techniques of persuasion and control (e.g., isolation from former friends and family, debilitation, use of special methods to heighten suggestibility and subservience, powerful group pressures, information management, suspension of individuality or critical judgement, promotion of total dependency on the group and fear of leaving it), designed to advance the goals of the group's leaders, to the actual or possible detriment of members, their families, or the community.

Thank you Jeff and Taylor! Good start. Perhaps if this becomes a longer series, I would love to see input from ARMYS around the world tell their stories. Even though I found BTS in 2017, there are 3 songs that make me burst out in full tears every time: Butterfly, Forever Young, Film Out. When I watched the launch of Film Out, I completely broke down sobbing. I had recently lost 3 BFFs - girlfriends I had in my every day life since public school (over 45 years) and that song gave me permission to full out cry and grieve the loss, something I had not done up to that day. So sometimes, BTS songs not only lift us up but also give us permission to cry, get angry, yell, scream. And for me - RunBTS is my absolute happy pill, helping me thru a lot of hard days and sadness with my ill elderly father.
@erica.brittony

Sending you so much love, dear ARMY. Film Out debuted the day before my Papaw passed away, and I don’t think I mentioned that in my interview. That’s another reason why I connected with that song so much, though. You put it eloquently - “BTS songs not only lift us up but also give us permission to cry, get angry, yell, scream.” They are, in a way no other musical artists I have ever seen, therapeutic. I hope BTS continues to give you (and all of us) ways to find the light in the world and each other 💜

First if all thank you for this video. It made me cry, in a good way. I'm a sixty plus years old woman from pakistan. I came across BTS by accident. It was during the pandemic. I was alone at my farm and all my family was in different parts of the country when we went into lockdown. We weren't able to see each other for about a year and it was hard. The only entertainment I had was watching songs and movies and I was kind of over the western music and looking for something more a bit different. So I came across the Chinese, Japanese and eventually Korean and actually started watching there plays and their discovered their music. It was so amazing and then I listened to BTS a d one thing lead to the other a d the rest is history. I'm a di hard army now. I feel like so protective of them. They have worked so hard a d come so far. They're such an inspiring group of these amazing boys. Watching them and all their content is my happy place. Really love them 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

@@myshownvjhope knowing and supporting is a completely diff story. If ur referring to his song, I agree the production team had responsibility with a part to blame but on the other hand, other rappers have done this so they probably thought that it was okay to use the audio, just like everyone else. However haters on media chose to use this against suga. Anyways it’s an opinion. & I’m open to opinions. But there was clearly no need for you to bring down my comment this rudely. it’s quite sad that you’re using ur spare time to bring down others like this. I found BTS in 2016, I am so grateful to them, their music helped me go through the darkest days of my life, divorce, child custody battle, I lost my sight temporarily. I considered taking my life, I couldn't deal with the idea of spending the rest of my life as a blind person. I got my sight back, thankfully. BTS gave me strenght and courage to work every day during the pandemic. I am so thankful that my daughters introduced me to BTS. My oldest daughter suffers from social anxiety and depression, her bias is RM, she used to spend days locked in her room, sleeping...I swear that her love for BTS and RM are helping her. I have social anxiety and I don't have that much friends and some ppl at my middle somehow didn't like me and thought I was very stupid, very ugly and very annoying, and I kinda use too have a very bad relationship w my dad. One time I was at one of my friends sleepover back 2 years ago and the introduced me to BTS's dynamite and I thought they had good songs and I thought they looked very handsome so I started listening too them and tbh the BTS songs that fit w me changes a lot. There was a time my kitty past away not to long ago and I did told my mom that BTS makes me feel better when I'm sad or very angry and she said to me "BTS doesn't really make you feel better they just stop from crying" but I can prove her wrong that BTS actually makes me feel better. There was a time where I wanted too end life bc I thought ppl are rude, ppl didn't care abt me, I'm rude, selfish, bratty, ugly, annoying, and dumb, and the only things that make me happy is BTS and some of my friends, but in the middle of me thinking of killing myself I was thinking of not trying to lose BTS and pretending that one of the BTS members was right behind my back and I had tried to listen to some BTS song and seeing there faces, it did took me a while for me to stop thinking abt it but it worked. I am still living today, I am still pretty shy from school but not as dramatic like it use to be, and I still do have a bit of a bad relationship w my dad but it's starting not to be as harsh as it use to be. This is a message too all of the haters who try to bully us for liking BTS

I remembered knowing abt BTS during the end of 2016. At that time, I was just a casual listener, a lowkey Army- a silent one. Then 2017 came, I was just really stressed abt school stuffs and all. I was in my shs days that time, it's really tough, I was so eager and competitive to have good grades. I was so pressured to the point that I already developed depression and anxiety. I was battling with it on my own, bc I thought it was normal and I was just stressed abt school and everything. BTS and their music help me a lot. They thought me lots of things, that it's ok not to be ok sometimes, that I should value and love myself. So they literally save me, and I will always be grateful for meeting them. They became my savior, safe space and comfort zone. Thank you so much Bangtan Sonyeondan.

There are 7 children in my family. Because of trauma and mental illness, we are all estranged now in our 50s. Our family unit was fragile pre-pandemic, but completely shattered during covid years. I was heartbroken. When I finally gave in to "kpop" and let myself discover BTS, I started to heal. Seeing how the members treat each other with so much support, respect, and laughter made me cry. So that's what love looks like. I realized just bc I am in what is labeled a "family," I don't need to be bound to them. In order to save myself...in order to love myself...I had to let them go even if they are "family." So, I don't answer/return all the calls, I don't go to all the get-togethers, I don't engage all the time, I don't let myself get guilt-tripped into dutiful bs. I save some of me for myself.

I completely believe in the saying, “BTS finds you when you need them most.” I first discovered BTS in early 2018 after staying home from school one day and my brother had turned on ‘The Ellen show’ This happened to be the day BTS was getting interviewed during Fake Love promotions. I remember getting curious about them and finding them to be really good looking, but I didn’t look up too much about them. Shortly after, I suffered a traumatic experience, which led me to develop Depression. A depression I’m still fighting 4 years later. Soon after my traumatic event, I saw BTS again after many edits of them were popping up on my Instagram. I had decided to finally look into them more. To say that BTS has helped me would be an understatement. Fighting depression is one of the toughest things anyone can face and I never used to understand when people would say that an artist had helped them with their mental health, until I met BTS. Despite me still having struggles, BTS has greatly helped me in my fight. They make me feel like I’m not alone. They speak about taboo topics with a mature mindset and exude comfort. Their comebacks gave me something to look forward to. Their family like bond showed me how amazing true friendship and love looks and feels like and it gave me hope that I someday will be able to have friendships like theirs. Their songs vented everything I felt like I had buried deep inside of my brain, but I wasn’t able to explain with my own words. I can’t mention BTS without also mentioning their amazing fandom. I’m also deeply grateful for everyone I have been able to meet because of BTS. People who come from all walks of life, who have their own struggles, but who are also so amazingly creative and funny, who are there for you when you need them to be. I wish everyone watching this, who is struggling with whatever it may be, to allow yourself to find comfort in BTS. Don’t be scared to laugh, cry, find the motivation to fight and keep going, and find solace in them. I promise you we will be alongside you throughout it all. Allow yourself to feel and love deeply, and know you will come out through the other end a more loving, kind person, to others and to yourself, because you deserve it. 💓

BTS 💜 ARMY :I am not sure who's idea it is and even though the guys have an idea how they impact Armys lives. I pray and hope they see this every single one of them because there is so much inhumane things going around identifying themselves as human and we as Army need to encourage these young men so if some can encourage them to check it out. So the can view us through those doors in the magic shop. They ask us to use them please Army let us send them encouragement love and prayers all of them because they are on a break they are been picked on and they don't deserve this so let's remind our precious young men how much we need them. We want them to be happy to they can continue keep us Army happy and all those people who has not the privilege to meet them yet. We love BTS flaws and all. Because they find us at our worst and lowest point so let's cheer them on in their project so they can be stronger and better for us in the future. I am in the USA and I love BTS and Army family and community. They are the best right now and that's what the world need is love. Let's kill these haters. Let's stomp them out by sharing what Bts has down for us.. thanks to all those brave Armys and even if you cannot share on camera. I ugly cried watching through this episode. Thanks for putting together this documentary. I have no doubts that the Army community will relate to each other's stories. BTS is different. You know if u know what I mean.

I've been ARMY since 2016 and ones I found them I never went back, watching this video I understand that we are really big broken family and they've been the channel to go on a path to fix us, we are most of the time misunderstood by everyone and specially the media. People who follow BTS's journey comes from all over the world, skin colors, social backgrounds and ages, its not that all of us are going through hard times, people who are in great mental state and emotional congratulations really, some of us have it so hard everyday. We are very protective do to our love for them and we try to not let them go through what we go through, and I think people who doesn't understand this part will never be able to figure it out on why BTS have us, loyal fans.

Wow!!!! I'm an emotional mess after watching this. It's always amazing to me to hear how much BTS has affected peoples lives and even though they are aware of it I don't think they'll ever grasp the impact their music, conduct and words have had. I know how much they have helped my daughter to cope with her depression and social anxiety, since Suga deals with that. She's been a fan since 2014 and introduced me during the Blood Sweat and Tears era. I don't know how I could have handled the covid thing if they wouldn't have put out music, concerts and vlives, which kept my mind occupied. Their open straight forward communication with Army is something I've never experienced my 65 years of life. My wish is that someday they'll grasp how life saving and life changing they've been to everyone who decided to take that plunge down the BTS rabbit hole and has never looked back. Thank you so much for making this documentary. You did a beautiful job!!!! 😥😢😭😭😭😭👌💜💜

Finding BTS has been a serendipity😇. I mean, i wish i would have found them from the very beginning but the last 2 years of becoming an ARMY has been the happiest. Every time i am smiling at my screen, its always BTS. And i wish them every happiness in the world. 💜💜💜💜

Just want to say how beautiful and courageous ARMY are. I see myself represented in these stories and it brought tears to my eyes to know that BTS and ARMY understand each other in ways many people will not understand.

Life is so strange... I remember when my bestfriend found BTS, I was very judgemental about them and I actively ignored them so long. Then she sent me Black Swan one day and I watched it. After this moment (It was end of 2020), they helped me in so many ways... I wish there could be a way that I can show how grateful I am because I would not even be here in this world if I would not have them...

I so felt the words "If I lose my life now, I lose them." I don't want to kill myself, I just don't want to live. I have no friends, no family, no joy, no peace. All I do is work, eat, sleep and do it all over, again and again. MY LIFE SUCKS! But BTS, by their music and their hearts, show me there is light and there is a reason for me to keep going. For me, THEY are that reason! I often think if I die tomorrow, there is nothing that I will miss. But that's not true now. I will miss the light, laughter, tears, love and joy that BTS brings into my life on a daily basis. Like Jin said about Army, BTS is air to me. I care more about them than I do my own life. "If I lose my life now, I lose them." #OnlyArmyUnderstands #ArmyForLife #BORAHAE

For me, it was Dope MV. I never listened to Kpop before and i don't know how i ended up watching Dope. I read the lyrics and bawl my eyes. I've kinda in depression that time, working 24/7 but always that uncertainty feelings "do i really can achieve something with so many sacrifices i've made?" I saw my friends dating, having fun, etc. But i can't do none of them. Work from morning to late always. And then i saw Dope. I read the lyrics and literally cry. Something i never knew i was able to. That moment is the moment where i finally feel like a find a true companion. And i'm really glad i was able to know them since then. I am, a male, in Indonesia, at my 30th, and i am an ARMY. YES. I AM.

i was in a terrible terrible state mentally because i remember wanting to go go the hospital because of how bad my home life was. i wanted away from that place and i was ready to do anything for it. one day i had enough and cried for HOURS on HOURS to butterfly. its scary to think about how young i was in 2020 being ready to let go and be done with everything, but i held on because of the lyrics. i’m so glad that the boys continued releasing music during the pandemic with such touching lyrics.

Hard to find words after this amazing documentation. I am still Baby Army. Namjoon found me in April 2021, even I know them since 2017 because of my daughter. I struggled with self love like a lot of us do.. I tried a lot for getting better, but only BTS made me loving myself again. I found a lot of new friends, got a tattoo and feel younger then years before ( I am 52). I decided to go to PDT Las Vegas by myself all the way from Germany. That was the best decision I have ever done. Now I know, because I felt the energy, this love only Army have for BTS and each other! Thank you all for letting me be a part of this amazing purple family! I keep fighting everyday to become a better version of myself to make our men proud, to change this world to a better place in their and Army names! Borahae! 💜
