This isn’t the first time he chose the wrong video for a song. When we recommend a song, we need to send the link or give details about which video to react to. I doubt he will go back and react to another video of the same song, so he will miss out on the full experience (JK’s falsetto, for example, which is cut in this shortened video).

Frankly, the best live performance of this song is the one at Japanese concert Epiloque with the video title "Attack on Bangtan / The Rise of Bangtan Japanese Epilogue". They are hilariously chaotic yet fun to watch.

The structure seems weird because it's not the full song. In their early years BTS's songs often got cut or shortened for broadcasts and many weren't uploaded onto the TV shows online sites after the TV premiere. This is one such occasion were they cut part of the song, notably the beautiful bridge sung by JK, and it's such a shame because this song is so good.

My favorite part of this song is Jungkook’s falsetto but that’s not included in this performance. Attack on Bangtan/The Rise of Bangtan from Japan Epilogue. That one is more chaotic and better than this one

FYI - No more dreams was their debut song. We are bulletproof pt 2 was the b-side song for debut. Attach of Bangtan was from their second album not their debut album 💜

I think a lot of ARMYs agree with you that BTS are better life than in music videos. I think it has something to do with how these men enjoy being on stage. Don’t take me wrong, MVs are great and they convey a message really well, but when you see members being hungry to perform in front of an audience - it’s just another level! I think we'd all agree with you that BTS Live is just next level. I agree with everyone who said you should check out the Japanese Epilogue version, they're so much fun on stage- especially when that stage is their own and not some cooked music show. Also, they always sing live. They use a backing track (not all the time), mostly because of their hard choreo. You know, boys gotta breathe sometime. lmao. But they never try to pretend to be singing when they're not, if they let the backing track take over for a beat, they won't try to lip-sync to it. Because they sound so good live, some of the members have taken to doing adlibs or purposely not singing at all so you can hear the empty space before picking up again. You know by now how people like to hate on them. Most recently, people tried to say Yoongi (SUGA), wasn't really playing the piano at his D-Day concerts. So he smashed the keys before the song so everyone could hear it was him in charge of the music.

A lot of times, the actual music show comebacks seem more fake than actual BTS concerts. This is not the fault of BTS, more about how the music shows are run with multiple takes, etc.

Agree totally!! BTS are best live 💜 It's fun to watch their old show performances again... glad you are enjoying them. They were so young and full of fire. The sound was often off in those old shows, think it might be the way it was recorded?... tiny stages too 😅 I do love this song... it's one of my favourites... Small hint... best live performances are the ones from their concerts where they have the stage area to move and good sound and camera. Enjoy BTS More KZbin channel has most songs from the concerts with correct English subs... and other notable performances. The performances done on the tv music shows they are at the mercy of the shows sound and video... it doesn't show their performances the best possible way. It's the promotion round they do on song release.... I find the energy is different... maybe because of the restrictions from the stage size, etc?? Have a wonderful day 💜

based on their discography, this is part of their second album so they can't start with a song they haven't created/or finished yet plus we never know why No More Dream was their first song ( it was rebelous, anti-establishment) but maybe very meaningful for the SK youth ... they didn't get to mainstream not until their I need you era (3rd album)

I need you was the title track of their 5th album "The most beautiful moment in life pt 1" No more dream is from "2 Cool 4 Skool" in June of 2013 N.O is from "O!RUL8,2?" in September of 2013 and then the songs you haven't watched yet Boy in Luv from "Skool Luv Affair" in February of 2014 Danger from "Dark&Wild" in August of 2014 and then the I Need you era in April of 2015 when they finally started to make some money to break even and started to gain more fame. And they weren't mainstream yet they just gained a noticable following of international fans. I would say their real mainstream era started with dynamite in 2020, which was their first really global hit song. Nearly everyone has at least heard this song, even if they didn't/ don't know it is by BTS.

This is one of my favs, because they have so much fun with it in concerts. When I first started listening to BTS, I was often pleasantly surprised at the different song structures. After a lifetime of listening mostly to American artists, I was used to hearing a lot of Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus. (Maybe for radio? Remember how much convincing it took for Bohemian Rhapsody to get played in full on the radio? Similar for Good Vibrations early on. Idk, maybe you can explain the effect that radio had on constraints of song length back when radio was the main music source.) But now that's one of the many things I love about BTS songs... I can't predict what's coming. I also love discovering how they incorporate all three rappers separately in group songs, it's like getting three unexpected rap gifts within the singing parts, & I love all of it. Incidentally, this is why I am also a huge fan of Dirty Loops (Swedish band) & Jacob Collier (UK artist)... the unexpected. And also why I love watching reactions, I get to see someone else be pleasantly surprised by new music. Borahae! 💜

Another thing to note is that they are almost always use backing track, especially when it involves song with a choreo. And the reason for such choice is the choreo. BTS members recognize them being humans, which means they could be out of breath or something it’s not physically possible to make the desired sound while dancing. Therefore back track is a compromise for being able to both sing and dance without impairing an audience’ experience.

Yes, the live version that everyone is suggesting is wonderful. But it's also from 2016 (?) and you can tell that they are three years older 😅 and have much more experience. That's why I think it's right to watch this recording when you go through their songs chronologically. That doesn't mean that you can't watch the other one as well 😎 💜

BTS don't always follow the traditional Western song structure. I think it's part of the fun, figuring out how their songs are structured. Sometimes they have verse A, verse B, pre-chorus, chorus, post-chorus, but in the next iteration they move things around. It's just wild when you first encounter it, but you'll get used to it.

Rise of Bangtan could not have been their debut song, it was written and released months after their debut. It's on their second album, O!RUL8,2?, not the first Dark & Wild. They started working on O!RUL8,2? after they finished promotions for Dark & Wild. Also, their debut song wasn't Bulletproof pt2, it's No More Dream. They set the tone with No More Dream of what their concerns were at the time, teenagers and their dreams, including hard work and self-love

The tv show performances tend to be edited down and or censored (JK not allowed to show his tattoos as he gets older, still not supposed to). The best live performances are always at concerts, not TV music shows. In those shows, the sound is in charge of the program production, they are forced to use support tracks sometimes too loud and the guys always commented that many times they couldn't hear themselves. I am reacting in order of albums to one song along with the chapter of TRB. If you'd like to help my wife choose which one of each you're more than welcome. I don't think that's very nice from you to say that. We do not know anything about BTS and there is a lot of content. We take your suggestions in consideration but most of the times you guys are suggesting recent material and we don't jump ahead...
