He got to meet him not long before he passed, he's the silver-haired man in the MV. He did the soundtrack for The Last Emperor. This song is all about him wishing there had been someone who had their backs, someone to get advice from back in the days they were going through it. He wants to now be that person for new artists coming up. This guy is a heart on two legs 💜

Ryuichi is pronounced "Ree-oo-ee-chee". He was a Japanese composer, producer, and actor. He won an Oscar, a Grammy, a BAFTA, and 2 Golden Globes. He was one of Suga's biggest influences and he finally got to meet him and he asked him to be a part of this song. It was one of the last things he did before he passed away.

Snooze was written to comfort those aspiring artists who struggle in the insane kpop industry. Yoongi also had his own recent time of being crucified by the media after riding his e scooter home after a few drinks down the road from his house. He was completely upfront and apologetic for his dui but the media were horrific, the pressure these artists are under is insane.

If you're interested, the "Dream" segment toward the end is a callback to a song he did on his first mixtape - "So Far Away". That song was written when he was in a very different place in life. Where Snooze is more of a comforting song meant to encourage those following his footsteps, So Far Away was written when he and BTS were still on the come up - all the anxiety /frustration / confusion that comes from not knowing what your next step is supposed to be or if the steps you've taken before are the correct ones. So Far Away is one of my favorite songs and so hearing this was like a gut punch in the best way. There are two versions - the original on his mixtape with Suran and then a version he does with his bandmates Jin and Jungkook. I like them both for different reasons, but if you want to listen to the Jin/Jungkook version, I'd recommend listening to Suga's song "First Love" first as there's a reference to that song in their version. But yeah, listening to So Far Away and then Snooze is beautiful as a reflection of his journey.

Seriously beautiful reaction. I am sure others mentioned but Ryuichi is a well-known and respected Japanese musician who wrote the scores for Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence and Last Emperor. Before he died, "Sug" as you call him, wrote this song, composing the piano pieces in a Sakamoto style and had him help with it. In the video he got to meet him and even share the song with him. It was so moving. Sakamoto died just before the release but not without first releasing his praise of Suga and his passion as an artist. This song is currently one of my all-time faves. It really does just move you! This journey is fun but also not without potential life-changing musical exposure. Their primary focus emphasizes the importance of loving one's self and they are all about supporting everyone. The 7 members of BTS are all so insanely individually talented yet they all support each other without any jealousy. When any of them do well, they are all there supporting them in front of cams and behind the scenes. Their ego's have to be galactic at this point yet they remain humble and want nothing but good in the world. With all their wealth even now, all you got to do do get their attention is offer them food and they are like putty in your hands. LOL. They came from nothing. Some people think they started with 7 of the most talented individuals with the most potential from the start. But there were only 2 underground rappers (RM and Agust D), 2 young kids who could dance, 1 middle school kid and one with no background in anything but potential talent and a fun personality. When you see how good, even their vocalists are... and knowing they learned to sing after joining the group, the reality of awards and accomplishments is even more insane. You might keep a notepad and write down suggestions. I'd make not one list, but have a title with BTS in one column for BTS recommended songs and one column for each member when those songs get recommended. You could also make a column for Rap line and Vocal line. So in total, there are 10 columns, but I think if you put them all down like that, it will help because you are probably going to grow and recommendations are going to keep coming and we really mean them when we recommend the ones we do. Anyway, I've already recommended several previously... I really want to recommend more but think it will detract from what we've already suggested. If it hits you and helps you through hard times, he did his job as an artist. This song also samples a part of his lyrics from his first mixtape Agust D. There was a song called So Far Away which is much darker than Snooze, and only at the end it becomes more reassuring. So he took the lyrics from the end of his old song and reinforced the message with Snooze. I loved that all boys from BTS do it in some way. Their songs are like parts of the continuous storytelling, they reference their older songs in their lyrics and each others solo work too. It's like Easter eggs we constantly find.💜💜💜

RYUCHI was the older man the famous composer of the oscar winning sound track to Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence. He was on the piano. Extremely famous composer in his own right a mentor to and big fan of Suga for his genuine love of music. Suga also plays piano. RM says Suga is so prolific he neatly writes a song a day. Suga refuted yhat saying he had only written 300 that year. The beautiful sounding vocalist is Woosung from The Rose. This song is one of my comfort songs, like BTS songs 0 O'CLOCK, MAGIC SHOP. Hi, esta canción es dedicada a los aprendices de cantantes que se acercaban a Agust D (Suga) diciéndole que entraron en el mundo de la música inspirados por Suga. él les cuenta lo difícil del camino y que está dispuesto a ayudarlos y aconsejarlos para que no sufran como él lo hizo. Tanto en sus primeros tiempos en el underground del mundo del rap, desde su debut años, después con BTS y en adelante tuvo que luchar mucho y sufrir mucho (todo está documentado). Por eso este tema asumiendo responsabilidad por aquellos que vienen detrás de él diciéndoles que no tienen que luchar solos como él, que él puede acompañarlos en este camino. Unfortunately suicide is prevalent in the Idol world. The pressure is emense. Mooonbin took his life right before this song was released. Suga wants onther idols to know that he understands how difficult and lonely the road is and he's willing to be a mentor to those that need it.
