This song tells the story of the hearts and struggles of the BTS members. That if you really want something, then you have to fight for it to the death In this song, BTS refers to the problems that generations of Sampo, Ohpo, and Yookpo discovered Sam = 3, Oh = 5 & Yook = 6, The word also refers to a popular expression regarding the desire to give up in the face of economic difficulties and societal ills. Those considered part of the Sampo generation gave up on having romantic relationships, marriage, and children. Ohpo's younger generations are unable to find decent jobs or own their own homes. The younger generation of Yookpo wants to give up their desires and surrender to society. .

People don't seem to know this, but in the studio version and the MV, it's actually Jimin who's singing that very high note "I'm gonna make it fire baby!" JK only appears to Jimin's vocals. However when they're performing "Dope" live on stage, it's JK who's singing Jimin's high part because Jimin wanted him to. Moreover, in the first line of the bridge in the MV and studio version, it’s JK who’s singing ”Ireon ge bangtan seutail” 이런 게 방탄스트, but they show Jimin. They’ve never told us why they switched in the MV, but u can clearly tell by their vocals.

8:42 the mv can actually be confusing because the voices don't match the video. "This is Bangtan style" is jungkook. "Nothing like the lying wacks" is jimin. "Everyday is hustle life" is jungkook. "I gotta make it fire baby" is actually jimin. You got it right in the end hehe. if you watch this song live, it's always jungkook singing the high note but it's jimin in the recording!
