So Naomi asked why isn’t this song on the radio already? It’s been an uphill battle to get US radio to play BTS songs because there isn’t enough English in them (and maybe the payola game is a factor, idk) and when some stations reluctantly played Boy With Luv they CUT OUT all the rap parts. Yup. Anyway, so you will know by now that the original is on the album and this remix has more English lyrics, because with the power of Lauv, we are getting this song on the radio by hell or high water! The timing is also in line with Grammy nominations going on right now, so we need maximum impact.

BTS's musical identity isn't just confined to one specific genre. They do everything and they experimenting constantly over the years. Their identity has always been the lyricism and message they convey through music. They talk about so many issues and make it relatable for the fans. Thats why they aren't a conventional boy group.

Okay, time to blow your mind even more. This is a great song, and the meaning that you could get in a straightforward way from the lyrics is wonderful. But this is BTS, so we have plenty of symbolism going on in the animated part of the video. Symbolism Option One - the straightforward version: You'll notice that the main focus is the boy. Sometimes he's with a girl, sometimes appears to be alone, sometimes cries and struggles. The boy is BTS. He is the one who is longing, who is crying, who is struggling. He starts out alone, even making himself small in a posture of self-protection. The girl is Army. She shows up in his life, and he didn't even see her coming. He stands. They both reach out - equally - to each other. They connect. They begin to run through sun-filled landscapes together, side by side. When it's dark, the boy is curled up in the fetal position (self-protectively) on the ground by the fire. The girl/Army is not just with him. She is beside him not lying but sitting up. She is watching over him. When the sun rises we see that her presence is even more personal. No longer beside him, she has become the cloak that encompasses and warms him. He recognizes it for what it is and continues on his journey. Interestingly, as Hobi is singing about becoming a hero, we see the boy fall to the ground and a tear escapes. We didn't see him stumble or get hurt. Is he tired on his journey? Army is still there around him, and soon he is back on his way. This journey becomes even harder. We see the boy surrounded by dark shadows of faces laughing, and even pointing. But he's still moving and there she is, right by his side in the midst of it all. Swirling around him is a sea of hands, nothing but hands, and they're all pointing--accusingly? mockingly? In the middle of it all the boy sees a weapon. It looks like a dagger. Right after we see the dagger the screen is filled with nothing but Tae's hand...holding...a microphone. The boy has a weapon. With the hands still pointing and swirling around the boy, he reaches to take hold of the weapon in front of him and is consumed by the light that's emanating from it. As he presses on the hands are no longer there, and his journey seems to have taken him to a place of high elevation. We see the peaks of mountains, and the white surface could be snow. While in this high place, the cloak that is Army is still with him. I'm struck by how he has not just companionship, but even at these heights he needs (and has) warmth and protection. What is this place the boy is entering? Even so high up, as the video shows the boys with tears, we see an incredible threat - something dark, even evil. The boy doesn't turn and run. He doesn't stand still. He charges forward, with the weapon of the mic in his hand and Army cloaked around him. He rises up and conquers what is coming against him. With the battle over, the boy kneels down next to his cloak which becomes the girl again. I'm struck by how, as the scene fades, he doesn't get up. Army is on her feet, and he remains on his knees leaning toward her. The boy is not being all-powerful in this moment. He is giving her honor. I'm not crying, you're crying. Okay, symbolism option 2, which I saw somewhere else and I love it and can take zero credit for. But I have to share it, because this is just like BTS. They truly create art. They have their creative expression, yet when we consider it there are different ways it can be interpreted. Here is what Nihal Shah had to offer: "I have theories I think that the girl is just the boy thinking of a girl Past references to albums from the boy and girl The boy was first alone, sad (The most beautiful moment in life pt. 1) The girl meets the boy and enjoy, and are also RUNning together in happiness (the most beautiful moment in life pt. 2) They stay together happily and sit by the campfire, and the boy is now happy (The most beautiful moment in life pt. 3- young forever) The girl sacrifices herself and becomes a blanket to protect the boy from cold, The boy then wears the cloth on his back, making wings (WINGS) Even though the girl was not there with the boy, she still was there with him in the form of the cloth (you never walk alone) As the girl(her) helps the boy and makes him happy and love himself (Love yourself Her) In the end, the boy's tear turns the girl back to normal, or he just thinks like that (Love yourself tear) in the first verse, Lauv sings 'i was lost, I was trying to find the ANSWER (Love yourself answer) and the song is from Map of the soul persona also, 1:40 when the boy is walking in the desert, his shadow suddenly starts to get bigger, and the dragon also represents shadow, hinting to the next album Map of the Soul Shadow Also the boy and girl represent BTS and ARMYsupporting each other and hence the mv uses clips from Love yourself Speak yourself tour, many clips from the Wembley concert because Lauv visited them at the Wembley concert" Okay if you're still reading this you're a champ. I'd apologize for the length (I guess I am a little), but this is BTS. It's pretty hard to keep it to just a few words with them unless it's words like Epic. Ground-breaking. Redefining. Inspired. ("INFIRES!") Thanks for anyone sticking around for the easy stuff (my words) or the more challenging stuff (Nihal Shah). BTS rules the WORLD.

2015 & 2016 radio play was like running into a brick wall of disparaging laughter, 2017 begging, pleading, flooding radios with requests and maybe one would play a song, 2018 we we're able to get a small number to play them but only at certain times and only some DJ's, now it's so much better than it was but we still have to make sure to request, remind, shazam, send polite and enthusiastic thank you's, etc. cause they're not played as much as english singing artists that sell less albums. When you said that thing about RM being another person in this song I thought about how you should listen to his trivia: love and his mixtape mono. This is a remix. The song is off of their most recent album Map of The Soul: Persona. Ed Sheeren wrote this and out of no where gave it to BTS. This whole album is a huge love letter to us-ARMYs. We dont deserve these 7 incredible human beings. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

BTS's song's have helped me so much when I lost my parents to Cancer. They passed away 2 months apart & I rem laying in my bed with no plans on ever getting out...... So I completely understand where you are coming from about music "bein there" when you lost your dad. ( I'm so sorry for your loss...) Music is definitely healing, but to me Bts is more. They have a Powerful & Unique way to touch and Heal Anyone & Everyone NO matter the problem!.... I swear they are Angels in disguise! It's like God said "Bts its time, Go forth and Heal the WORLD!" I'm sorry if that offended anyone bringing up religion but I didn't know any other way 2 word it 😊 but tbh We needed a reminder to love each other and ourselves, And its like Bts popped out the DRAIN ( lmfao😂😂😂) saying "We got this sh$# We'll make them love themselves & errbody around them!!" 😂😂 SO to me it's like they are a Divine Intervention ( yeah I said it lol😂 ) Anyways long story even longer... Fun fact: Ed Sheeran produced make it right. This song is from their newest album map of the soul: persona. They said they decided the album to army. Most of the songs on there by just reading the lyrics you can tell they're talking to army. BTS and army have such a special bond that u never really see from wester artists.

In this make it right remix they're singing directly to ARMY and the mv is BTS and army together and I just cry so much everytime I watch the video. I've seen them live 4 times in Chicago and each concert is so special in their own way. I really hope you guys get a chance to experience that
