Interlude: Shadow. I think I see why Suga did the song the way he did. The first half is him stalking about his 'shadow' among other things and 'don't let me down- 'don't let me fly- the first half is sad kinda the lyrics are heartwrenching and gutwrenching and with so many meanings. And the second part how the beat changes and drops, Suga goes all out. Like his Shadow overtook him -lyrics saying 'you basically can't get rid of him or cut him loose or get rid of him - you are me and I am you* (I assume that's like his shadow self). All of this is like a theory I have, it what it feels like. Suga is speaking to us like always through his music, just like BTS always does. I love this song. The duality...is incredible.

I love that you had a different interpretation of the lyrics than I did. You said that he is making music for his roots. I took it as a mantra especially paired with the rest of the lyrics about how the shadow cast by the brightness (fame) is swallowing him and the tone of voice. It seemed almost desperate like he has to keep telling himself he wants it so that he can continue doing it and fight the shadow. Everything about this video screams struggles of fame that Bangtan faces. People invading their personal space, the expectations for success and perfection, as well as the loss of sense of self and individuality that can come with being an idol. Love your videos Bris and the energy you bring. Its gonna be a good comeback! Cant wait for more videos 💜

In opinion, the perspective SUGA is having in this interlude deeply connected with their song back in their album O!RUL8,2?, "If I Ruled The World". Back then he wanted all of the things he own now(fame, money, popularity,etc.) But NOW, he learned the dark side of those things like the "shadow(s)" that are constantly following him-the contradiction to his "Persona" as SUGA. The few seconds towards the ending, he voiced out "Now you know who I am". Therefore in my personal opinion, here, SUGA personified the "shadow" of him answering to RM's previous Intro: Persona that was asking "Who are you" (if I'm not mistaken). I personally feel touched knowing how personal these issues are for them but nonetheless, they still decided to share it with the WORLD and voice out the TRUTH. I hope artists would get to do what they want to do without any social judgement of what to do and what not. All we can do as fans is to support and wish all the best for them. P.s. once again, I'm sure there are lots of more interpretations out there and this is just my personal opinion. Wether you agree or not it's all up to you :)) #7isComing !!!!!
