BTS are so versatile! They have music for a lot of genres, you'll find something to love in their discography. It's definitely something that takes a while to get into if you're not familiar with the kpop genre in general, but its so worth it when you can see they put their whole life towards perfecting their craft. Imma tell y’all, I know I’m a little (I’m 28 but little because ya girls tiny okay) white girl from Dallas Texas but I was raised on 90s hip hop & r&b and always been a hip hop head. My whole life. I never thought I’d like what people think is some kind of “pop boy band.” But I swear to y’all (by the moon and the stars in the sky ;) ) that BTS on some different shit. Like I just gave them a chance and they changed my whole perspective on music and life itself. I don’t fuck with the rest of kpop like this imma be real. There are three rappers in the group and I would dead ass put them against any Western rapper in the WORLD as far as how talented they are lyrically, and flow and production ability and work ethic and mentality. They’re inspired by legends like NAS, pac, Jay Z, etc. they wearing clothes and tolmbout NASTY NAS LIKE ILLMATIC. Zero culture vulture or appropriation whatsoever, just pure love for the music and all the fuckin talent in the world. I promise y’all BTS not Kpop. Girl I couldn't have said it better. I'm a 39 year old that grew up with the old school hip hop so I'm old old school. I became a fan in 2014 with bulletproof pt. 2 that was the 1st video I had the pleasure of watching. RM's high top fade, pimp cane, and his rapping had me shook. He reminded me of a Kool Moe Dee or a Big Daddy Kane. I was so happy about his culture appreciation. When others was hating on him for the way he looked. I loved him for it. That showed me that they appreciate my culture and I been in love with all of them ever since. Im so tired of American rappers now a days trying to be so gangster that they too hard to dance and they just seem lazy ass hell to me and they all talk about nothing. So when I found out about BTS it was like a breath of fresh air. I love BTS for so many other reasons but the fact that they appreciate and love my culture makes me so happy. In interviews they talk about their hip hop influencers that u mentioned up above and how they helped influence their music. I love the fact that JHope was popping and locking to Pfunk before debut. They just spread love and they all love each other and they love us and I love all of them for it. I love to see another army hit it on the head because there are a lot of fake army's out there that are just riding the band wagon and only care about one member. By the way, most BTS fans like to stress that BTS are in their own league and that they don't represent the K-Pop industry. They have reached the worldwide music mainstream and are influential beyond music, as they are regarded as "generational leaders" by many (they gave a speech at the UN, for example). Welcome! BTS have a lot of good songs. They dont ever disappoint. Check out DDAENG by BTS and all the CYPHERS!! They dont have MVs but have lyrics videos. Those are very rap driven music!! Other than that, we have FAKE LOVE and FIRE which are also bops and have MVs. Just check all their music out!! Just expect them to be different since they dont stick to one music genre but it's all DOPE!! (No pun intended😝)

helo guys, BTS do every music gender from hip-hop, pop, electro, r&b, ballads or jazzy vibes, they do not stuckmwith one gender only, they are really variable. This is not boy group from your teens memmories, there is not only one leader there and they are multitallented. They not only write lyrics (with a deep meaning behind), but produce or co-produce their songs. They can dance, vocalist can sing also in falsettos, and rappers also sing and have self produced mixtapes. They are perfectionist and hardworers as hell. They support each others solo projects, they have formed from 2009, debuted in 2013. From the bottom with no budged, hardships at the beginning to many trophies nowadays. Even they are rich now, they take care about their fans (like no one celebrity does). They are huble, smart guys. They have many contents, MV's are another level (you will see), they have also dance practice videos and they are perfect live. They are UNICEF ambassadors.... BTS has been around since 2013, but they've only become so well known since... 2015ish? Back in their lesser known days they came to America (LA) for their own reality show called American Hustle Life, in which they learned about the origins of hip hop (in person) from Warren G and Coolio. It's really impacted their work and multicultural appreciation. You can find all 8 episodes on Dailymotion with English subtitles :) highly recommend!!! Welcome to our world!

Dude, you're not alone in saying that you're mad you didn't know this stuff existed until now. I felt the same way about BTS (and kpop in general) when I joined the craze late, around 2018. XD I wish I'd been there in 2013 when BTS debuted so I could be with them on their journey. Luckily, they've documented almost everything they've ever done since then, and it's all available to watch on KZbin, so it FEELS like I've known them for years. They're such kind, humble, down-to-earth guys with so much natural talent. I'm happy when people discover them, whether it's now or ten years in the future.
