I just want you to know that many fanboy react the same as you did. They got emotional and moved and touched by the message in the lyric as well as the music. BTS does bring the sensitivity in us in a very positive manner 😊😊

전 동시에 엄청 슬퍼지더라구요... "우리들은 영원할 순 없지만 영원하고 싶어, 영원할거야" "끝이 있더라도 우린 꿈을 향해 달려간다" 이런 가사라서.. 처음 이 노래 나왔을 때 언젠가는 걷게 될 그 내리막길을, 마지막을 본인들이 가장 잘 알고 있다는 거에서 진짜 심장이 턱 하고 막혀오더라구요. 정상을 걷고 있으면서도 항상 내리막을 생각하고 있는, 그래서 지금 이 순간의 소중함을 가치를 더 잘 알고있는 성숙한 사람들.

Thank you for your sincerity. I'm the same age as Namjoon and I've grown up with these guys. Being in my early twenties, I don't feel like a child anymore but I still don't feel like an adult - it's an awkward limbo. So when I think back to my youth I get struck by this tight feeling in my chest, wanting to go back to a time that's already over. I'm really starting to feel my mortality. Watching 'Forever Young' is always a bit of a nostalgic punch in the gut because of this and I know many people, both men and woman who have reacted the same way you did when you watched the MV. The boys in BTS know the lifespan of Kpop groups are very short. One day they will have to disband, and one day no one will know their names or remember their faces. However they mentioned that when it's over, they will gracefully bow out, and may years later when they're just a memory, they want to be remembered like they are in the video - both in mind and spirit - forever young.

I agree with you, i'm in that limbo state as well. It's an awkward time. They have mentioned though that they want to keep creating music no matter whether they are popular or not. Their goal is to last as long as Shinhwa (They debuted in 1998 and are still going!!). So it's more that they say they are rebelling against the idea that certain things are finite, they want to keep on singing with youthful passion even if their popularity fades away with time and age. "Even if the attention isn't forever, i'll keep singing. I want to stay this way for life. I want to stay young forever."

I just love how you describe it. BTS have a special place in my heart i dont even like kpop. Its like they are somehow sent on earth to live for a limited period of timea nd they know that and thatthey are trying to make the most of it. i told you the lyrics were next level... this is probably my favorite bts video - lyric wise... When you have time, you should check out their b-side tracks... I really really enjoy House of Cards, Hold Me Tight, Dead Leaves, and Sea (this one is also next level emotional. i cried like a baby). They are all slower songs that really showcase the vocals of the group :)

Thank you for not being afraid to show your emotions on camera, your reaction really got to me. Even though this is one of my favorite BTS songs as well, I'm ashamed to say I've never actually read the lyrics. Holy shit the lyrics ... even though I've never been in their shoes performing to thousands, the emotions is so raw and relatable. Don't feel alone, I cry every time I watch it. It resonates somewhere deep inside I think, the place that makes us doubt ourselves, if we're good enough, but also makes us want to stay there :) To be Young Forever, carefree, and go back to the days before we had real worries in the world. I'm past that part of life, but long for it so much it hurts sometimes. I wish I could go back, but it's never going to be possible, so watching them go forward strangely gives me hope. Then there's a the part that says "even if I fall and hurt myself, I'll keep running towards my dream", that part gets me because you can be any age and "fall", it's just the picking yourself back up part that's tough.That shows true strength and determination to not fail and be the best you can be. That's the hardest part of all. To keep going after that dream, no matter what. Hopefully this comment made sense, in some sort of way, lol.

Grace Harvey I'm 48 with no kids (can't even blame them 😉), but yeah. Age and experience I think just makes you look back at it all and identify from another place. These boys have become a part of my heart with their bravery, creativity, hard work, tenacity, struggles (the ones they can share) ... the list goes on. This fandom is so diverse and I love it. You don't HAVE to be a teenage girl to connect in some way. I'm so glad emotion is displayed here. We'd be in a better world if more of us were in touch with that and felt safe to express it.

I just wanna share something about how much this songs means to me. The line "Raise your voice higher, Even if the attention isn’t forever, I’ll keep singing, I want to stay this way for life, I want to stay young forever" saved me. ISTG it saved me. When I was at the darkest moment of my life, when I was a danger to myself, that when I thought that I was really gonna go over the edge. Good thing my sister introduced me to them and when I listened to this song I just started crying so damn much.

As soon as possible, i stayed away to hear Young Forever. Too much sad memories for a beautiful song. This was the last song i heard from my best friend which already gone. I know this is an older post but can I just say how dear these boys grew to me in such a short amount of time? I've seen so much of them, so many videos, I know every character trait, every cute nickname and the story behind it, every preference, every dislike (or at least what the boys are willing to show us). I love them like a family, they feel like they are MY family. I discovered them a few months ago when my depression was on it's worst. Ever since I got into the beautiful world of BTS my mood & my spirit has lifted so much, I'm getting better each day. They taught me to love myself, to not be ashamed of my flaws and to follow my passions. Jin with his dad jokes and his super funny windshield wiper laugh, Namjoonie with his dimple smile and his deep & wise mind, Yoongi being a genius with words and his cat-like cuteness, Tae with his velvet voice and emotionally soft sides, Jimin with his awesome dance abilities and his squeaky giggles, Hobi the eternal sunshine and positivity on two legs, Jungkookie with his passion for music, filmmaking and his determination..... I can't imagine a world without them. I just can't. They will be forever engraved deep into my heart and I will love and support them no matter what.
