I really wish you would've turned on the lyrics because the song is incredibly deep. Here is some info I took from google to give you an idea: ""Black Swan" details the relationship artists have with their craft, comparing the harrowing feeling of loss of love for the craft to death, with lyrics such as "If this can no longer resonate, no longer make my heart vibrate, then like this may be how I die my first death."" Essentially, if their love for music were to vanish, it would be like them metaphorically dying prior to their actual death. Please in the future maybe react to a performance of it (for instance the one on Jimmy Fallon) with the lyrics on because it would be interesting seeing you react to the song's meaning, especially seeing as in other videos (the nct one for instance) you've mentioned valuing songs with depth! :)

They don’t wear shoes in this choreo because contemporary dancers don’t wear shoes; this is a song done in contemporary style, that centres around Jimin - a trained contemporary dancer - who is the Black Swan; he doesn’t like wearing shoes when he dances in this style; the boys all went shoeless for that reason.

It isn't just the routine and practice they're also just natural dancers. Especially Jimin and Jhope who can freestyle to many songs, you guys should react to Jhope freestyle dancing.

The reason they don't wear shoes both in the practice and the MV is because they are dancing a contemporary like choreography here. With Jimins background being in the contemporary and ballet scene he usually always dances barefoot, he said himself that he feels more comfortable and confident when dancing barefoot, its giving him more control of his body and movements. In some behind the scenes footage you can see the members talking about it and they said that this dance and this MV is very Jimin coded so they all decided to not wear shoes because Jimin doesn't as well. Hope this clears things up

Why disgusting and cool? Just a piece of info. Contemporary dancers usually dance barefoot and the choreo has a lot of elements of contemporary dance as JIMIN is a Highly regarded contemporary dancer and to be respectful of the art and him because he is the main dancer in this performance all members are barefoot as well. Being barefoot provides freedom and a sense to be in touch with the energy of the dance floor, the extended movements require a well positioned base and this is achieved mostly by being in contact with the surface you are dancing on. Not reading the lyrics of the song gives the sense that your reactions are only on looks, and your reaction turns out really hollow.
