JK is ridiculously talented, he definitely would be the most popular guy in the group but not the only talented one, they are all extremely talented, that's why as a group they are a complete powerhouse. He's currently in the military in Korea and will be discharged in June next year when the whole group will reunite. They all pursued solo work before they enlisted in the military last year. Jungkook's album Golden is entirely in english and is very good, he decided to create an album with all different genre's of music which he masterfully pulled off. Jk is extremely likeable, off the stage he's quite shy and introverted and before he enlisted last year he did numerous lives with fans for hours on end, having a drink, doing laundry, cooking.. and twice from his bed, where in one case he fell asleep during the live. He's a very "normal" guy off stage and why so many fans adore him.

In kpop it’s normal for different members in the groups to have solo releases and still be a part of the group. The US/western music industry doesn’t work that way, hence groups always breaking up bc members want to explore their individual sound. In kpop they’re allowed to explore themselves as individual artists and then go back to the group (and many continue releasing solo work too- almost every BTS member, for example, has released several solo songs/albums)

all bts members have solo music out, its common in kpop. since JK's solo album was in full english it got a lot of attention and it was very succesful. of course, thats also because his voice is unmatched and his dancing is also crazy good. when "Golden" (the title of the album) was released i was so happy cuz to me its been years since i got such a good pop album in english. in regards to you comparing BTS to 1D and thinking theres any betrayal going on, the only thing im gonna say is this: just think about the fact that all members got the number 7 tattooed on them, even the members that had no intention of getting tattoos and were quite afraid to get one. JK and Jimin got theirs in very visible places, you can even see JK's in the mvs, he got it behind his year. Jimin has it on one of his fingers. another member Suga got it right next to the scar on his shoulder that he got after having surgery (long emotional story that maybe you'll learn about). so yeah, they love eachother and are eachothers biggest fans as you can see. no other group is like them. they did this in 2022 to celebrate their friendship and love for the group.

All of them now focus on solo career since they all have to go serve in military for 2.5 years, they will came back together as group in 2025. Some of them already record the song earlier but post it when they are still in military so that fans will not feel the absent.

Just a clarification for those passing by 2.5 years is how long from the first member enlisting to the last member being discharged. Each member has to serve 18 months except Suga who has to serve 21 months because he's a social service worker instead of active duty.

“Is this betrayal, though?” 😂 you two are precious. I’m sure since this was 3 months ago and a million people left you so many comments you know now that BTS will be together for life. Even once they get married and have families (if they do, who knows). The bond they have with each other and then the bond they have with their fans is are unbreakable. Jungkook has ARMY (as in BTS’ fandom) tattooed on this hand. In Korea tattoos are pretty taboo and people kind of look down on them especially if they’re visible. JK said well I’m getting a whole sleeve 😂 and he started with the ARMY tattoo on his hand! Super visible lol but with the exception of Jimin none of the other guys had any tattoos and I don’t think ever wanted any. But right before BTS went on hiatus to do solo projects and prepare for enlistment into the army, all 7 of them got a small 7 tattoo somewhere on their bodies 🥹🥹😭 j-Hope is like a sweet baby angel and so for him to get a tattoo was a really big deal and super meaningful the fans and to BTS. I’m not sure what kind of fate brought the seven of them together, but I like to believe they were destined to be together. Other groups like 1D, uhh *NSYNC, all the groups like that always fail or split up. Girl groups, too. And most kpop groups. Because inevitably there ends up being personality conflicts or ego problems. That seems normal. Not BTS. It’s a brotherly bond (but even deeper in a way) that I’ve never seen before in groups of people. It’s truly like these seven individuals were destined to find each other in this lifetime. Not sure if I believe in past lives or whatever but if there are past lives, they’ve known each other and loved each other in every one of them. It’s almost so bizarre to even say that but it’s a once in a lifetime phenomenon playing out right in front of us. So yes, as everyone has said, BTS has always repeatedly expressed to each other and to the fans and anyone else who asks that they want to continue making music together until they’re literally old and they physically can’t anymore. they will have been together for 15 years in 2025 (they trained for a couple years before officially debuting as a group June 2013). I feel super lucky to be living in this timeline to see the closest example of divine intervention or fate or whatever you believe in that brought them together. Love them so much always. “In this BTS shit for life!” (ARMY has always said this phrase.) No matter where BTS is (military, on a break for a while, etc.) and no matter what I’m doing in life, or if I even have time for them - REGARDLESS, I will always be their fan. I will always support them no matter what. I’m 7 years deep and 2025 will be my 8th year. In it for life and not like in a culty way don’t worry lol so excited for them to reunite June 2025! No it's very normal for all members of a k-pop group to have some form of solo work. It could be singles, albums, acting in movies or series and ect. Everyone in BTS has done solo work but JK just wanted to do an English album so all his songs under the golden album are in English and a couple of other solo tracks are too. Jimin did English versions of his songs and every member has a solo album each with many different genres per member. No album/ solo work is the same. I highly recommend you check out V's mini album. There is MV's for all the song and they are a mix of English and Korean lyrics. He leans towards more jazz influence, Jimin is more pop, RM is more alternative music (all his songs are different lol), Suga or Agust D is more Rap influence, J-hope is more Rock and Hip-hop influence and Jin has an album coming out soon. Jin's solo songs are more ballad based though. He even did a solo song with Coldplay called 'The Astronaut' and the whole group have a song with Coldplay called 'my universe'. Definitely worth a check out. Sorry if I ranted a little bit ahah.

There's no betrayal, the 7 of them started their solo careers but they are still together as a BTS, they started their hiatus as a group right after the release of their anthology album PROOF in june 2022, and right after that the members started working on their solo projects, they went on hiatus as a group bc they had to start their military service but before that they wanted to renew themselves(? and show us their own colors as solo artists.. JungKook is so dedicated to BTS as a group, he will never leave them. They are confident in Kookie and themselves, they have a strong bond that can't be broken. JungKook and others are spreading their wings on various solo projects which is great for their individual development. As a longtime fan, I'm glad they have the freedom to express that. There was no "Betrayal." One thing y'all gonna learn about BTS/Kpop Groups that are different from Western Groups is that in Kpop it is COMPLETELY normal to release solo songs/Solo albums and do solo promotions while still being in a group. No, BTS did not disband, they are in the military and will resume group activities next year when all the members are done finishing their service. BTS debuted in 2013 and they've been releasing solo songs while still being active as a group since 2014 this is not anything new to ARMYS (Their fandom name) lol. The members are literally family, soulmates and best friends they love each other IMMENSLY. Anyway... Jungkook! My Bias! My Ult! I love him so much he is the Maknae (The Youngest) in BTS as well as the Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Center, Sub-rapper etc. He is famously known as the Golden Maknae (Golden Youngest) and has in recent years been dubbed The "Main Pop Boy." Since you've already listened to his 3 singles I'm sure y'all can figure out why he's called that lol. He is extremely talented and such a caring person! He IS the most successful K-Pop Solo Artist (The other members being right behind him because BTS are the only group in which the group and the members are all extremely successful) When it comes to Jungkooks competition in the K-Pop industry his only competition is literally BTS. BTS are the kings and rulers of K-Pop, they paved the way and Jungkook is making his name KNOWN in the Western industry and my boys are going to absolutely DOMINATE next year with their comeback :)
