Unlike the US most other developed countries use prison as rehabilitation so they don't create more victims when they get out. In the US prison is used as punishment so the population can get their revenge and feel good about themselves. A type of "An eye for an eye" mentality. The problem with this is that they will get out again, do you think they are well adjusted when getting out after 3 decades? No they will go right back to traumatizing new victims. So here you have to ask yourself what is more important. Either get your revenge and create more victims in the future or you focus on rehabilitation trying to ensure they can have a normal life afterwards so they don't attack people again.

The big difference is that bighit doesn't play dirty. Bighit only gets the attention it deserves because they are too big to ignore now. Same with bts, they are just too big to not give all the daesangs to them because it's undeniable that they deserve them. Big3 however still have their influence and play dirty, they (especially sm and yg) made their artists boycott mma because they knew they wouldn't get anything and just lose to bts. They even gave immense pressure to tv stations, so the mmas weren't able to air on national tv. That's just petty.

It seems like it was the groups that were going to be in competition with BTS due to their similar senior rankings and popularity in Korea that were a no show. And now that I think about it, it was an obvious type of predictability because who would be the most eligible for those awards than the people who have been breaking records the entire year.

I personally think that BIGHIT will possibly never have a group as successful as BTS. Their impact and appeal happened organically. Note that I am not saying that they will not have successful artists at all but at the level that BTS is at...mmm I don’t know that we will ever see it again. So BTS is a group that the masses flock to watch and these award shows know it so greater effort will be placed on their stages etc. Once BTS does their mandatory military training, the dynamics of these award shows will change again. I am pretty certain if it. Again, there are plenty of talented groups out there that will continue to grace the stage but BTS will be missed. The only group I could possibly see having great stage performances in the future is Ateez as they are truly great rookies!

Honestly, TXT gets a lot of shit for being well-funded through BTS, which is why I kind of ignored them for a while. A couple weeks ago they released Magic Island and I was REALLY impressed, so I checked out their shit. I regret not giving them a chance now, they actually feel promising. Just as well-rounded as people, full of life and genuine good energy. And we know the production team is phenomenal. Been following Kpop since the late 90s, and TXT's debut was more than just money. Big Hit has an eye for good people and artists. They know what "spark" to look for in young artists. They're prodigies. Keep your eyes on them, for real.

I agree. I heard an opinion stating BIGHIT is a money hungry company. The way they release merchandise certainly makes them look that way however, they definitely put that money to proper use. They don't just throw money at their M/Vs, concerts, and stages. BigHit really always has purpose behind the set design, lighting, effects, wardrobe, etc. Nothing is simply there for the sake of looking expensive. I respect that about them.

Here's just a few... this list might not contain everything but it contains some of the things. 1. MMA had the groups sign their name on the car windows, but instead of signing the car window, solar wrote MAMAMOO in large letters across the side of the car and then she and moonbyul kinda smirked at each other. 2. Hwasa stood between two dancers that had the letters PD on their backs and said "twit" as part of her performance which basically means fool. PD means like production director or something so they were shading the production director who was probably the one who cut their time. 3. One of the transition screens during their performance says "there aint no love in this party" which is pretty self explanatory 4. At the end of the gogobebe performance, Moonbyul shouted "how was it today" and solar said "it was cut, cut, cut" and she and wheein both made cutting motions with their hands. Moonbyul then laughed and said "that's right, we cut up our success and ate it" which is a reference to their song hip. And they purposely made it seem like they were about to perform another song but the performance cut out right there and the audience was sooo confused, like there was an awkward silence and the the ads began playing. 5. After their performance which happened pretty early on in the show, they just left. Which they've never done before. Like they were updating fancafe and posting photos while the show was still going on and they were on their way home. 6. One of their dancers also shaded mma by posting a picture of a dancer with the word "twit" written on the back which is an insult, and then captioned the photo "mma"

I don’t particularly think ppl still see Bighit as an underdog company. The company is obviously trying to stabilize their power. Even if they are the most powerful entertainment company right now, we can’t fully say they hold a power on the entertainment media. The fact that this year’s MMA wasn’t diffused on TV is the proof of that. After 12y, it’s the first time ppl weren’t able to go on their TV and just watch it. There’s a rumor going on that big3 pressured melon and broadcast companies and that was the result of it (i think they didn’t want the GP to have a possibility to take an actual look at bts’s performances and mostly the fact that they are the first artist to be able to bring 4 daesangs home, bc it would be the ultime proof for the GP that big3 aren’t at the top anymore ) ++ the fact that the big3 were boycotting the award. It just shows that bighit influence (it’s not much so about power bc bighit is financially at the top rn) is not as set as big3’s. Thus yeah bighit is definitely not an underdog but i think it’s reasonable to still put a difference between the big3 and bighit. (I personally would like to keep bighit out of the whole big3/4 thingy, most of those companies are shady asf and i prefer leaving bighit and their artist’s names out of this sh*t) ( yall gonna say but jyp with itzy but ofc jyp would let itzy go there’s literally no competition for the female rookie of the year it was obvious they were going to get it huh) EDIT : i aint accusing any artist or group, I respect them, but definitely the labels's doing are shady like the setline between mma and mama makes me just go like lmaooooo. I mean it's the labels lost at the end of the day bc the mma permitted to smaller groups from smaller companies to get recognition !

Shania Maitland I got clinically diagnosed by one of my previous psychologists with OCD (as well as other things but that’s not important 💀) when I was 15. I’m 20 now, so I’m speaking from experience. I wouldn’t say it or make of light of an issue If I myself didn’t experience it every day. I agree with you though, people shouldn’t falsely claim that they have certain disorders, and mental health problems. Mental health isn’t something to joke about. Especially if you don’t have it. I, however was serious though, it was quite difficult to watch the video for me 😂. Thank you though, for being polite about it. If I didn’t have any of my disorders, and I read that it was very polite attempt to bring awareness to the topic.

You know who else "breaks the system" in the kpop industry just like BTS? MAMAMOO. Their company was literally nothing before them and they worked SO hard just to get noticed in an industry ruled by the big 3. I am so sad they still get so little recognition for what they do, especially in these award shows. The way MMA treated them was honestly disgusting and outrageous. I am an ARMY and a MooMoo and i just wish my girls could one day reach BTSs level of well deserved success and respect (still praying for a MAMAMOO world tour here 🙏🙏🙏)

i completely understand what Danny is getting at towards the end of the video; it's not that Bighit is abusing their newfound success or power as a company but rather the popularity surrounding their group(s) is enough to make people wonder. It was probably the same with the other groups from the big 3 back then; the way new groups gain automatic fans from their seniors' fandoms. In no way am I discrediting TXT's win, because I'm a MOA myself and their comeback really impressed me (imo they deserved the win, as did many other artists nominated in all categories) but part of TXT's popularity undeniably comes from BTS. Like Danny said: that's just the way the world works. For real. It's actually IMPOSSIBLE for rookies from big name companies to NOT receive some of their recognition because of the groups that came before. If I stan any group then I will naturally be made aware of a new group from the same company. Am I supposed to ignore them or something? Refuse to watch an M/V because I didn't hear about the group by accident? Just because I didn't stumble upon them while surfing YT it's no longer organic and, therefore, an inauthentic discovery? So if I become a fan it's unfair to the other rookie groups from less known companies? It just makes no sense. The rationale of some of these fans is so... nonexistent.

Txt won because they deserved it.. X1 is the biggest competition of txt but since X1 is uncertain group at the moment therefore giving the award to them will cause more controversy.. I know ateez is talented but their songs did not even rank in melon it is more questionable if they win.. When in comes to album, digital and votes txt has a landslide win that's why they are the most deserving of the award. And most of all the production team of txt is genius to be able to get talented young artist to form txt and deliver a messages of the album that is age appropriate to the artist and their market..
