The thing is Lie from Wings might be a masterpiece song, but it's not easy enough for general public to digest. So you gotta hook general public with easy to digest, colorful food... that's exactly what DNA did, you know what Butter did. Easy to listen to a song, but if you spend a week in their music and with their fans, you would discover a whole new world. Just like you did. Butter pull in in and you fell through the rabbit hole. That is exactly what DNA did.

DNA was BTS's first song they performed in USA ( BTS's first USA tv debut in American Music Awards, 2017, DNA). General public went wild, media went wild... DNA was the beginning of BTS's music dominance in USA. Everyone was bopping to the song. We joke (it's not a joke though, it's true speaking from statistics), after DNA ARMY fandom become twice of it's size. We will again see this type of growth later in Boy With Luv (2019) and Dynamite (2020). People tend to look down on these songs, because they are fun, trendy, catchy, colorful, pop... but these songs are serotonin boost, happiness pill and they made significant impact on BTS's rising popularity.

The three Love Yourself albums go thru the phases of love. LY: Her (DNA) is about finding that fated love. LY:Tear (Fake Love) is about that perfect love being torn apart. LY:Answer (Idol) is about realizing that the answer to finding true love and happiness is to love yourself first.

The songs captures the start of a love that feels fated..both lyrics and the music itself feels happy right? Because its the start of the happy union.... Sadly the 2nd album LY: Tear happens 😩 haha and that love starts to crumble.. lol well then the 3rd album completes the series wherein the universe and destiny was there inside you all along. Hehe

DNA was the very first BTS song me and my boyfriend ever listened to together as it was during this era me and him got together and this song has now become our couple song. This song describes how me and him met like it qas fate and destiny to meet eachother. Also the MV is just so colourful and bright, the music is so upbeat and makes me want to dance and don't even get me started on the choreo as its so beautiful yet complicated at the same time just like feelings you have

I think I read the Chreo is based on the chemistry DNA strands and how they are placed too sequence and the way in dNA mimics i believe😊

The funny thing about BTS' songs and even the rap tracks. The aggression doesnt really match with the actual lyrics. Like mlst of the time. Especially when the rapline became aggressive but only talks about love and life. Or this, DNA, colorful MV, great choreo, as someone who cant understand Korean, it's fascinating to know the translated lyrics. It's amazing. That's why I always check the lyrics whenever I listen to their music.

I really enjoy that one too, it's"Hot Blooded" meets "Layla" in my opinion. It does lose some of the punch in the chorus that matches how the choreo hits, but makes that up with energy and drive.
