@@BigBrainSinger wondering if you would check out “main vocalist jungkook” by Ida s or “evolution of jungkooks vocals” by Ida s and there’s a bunch of clips and behind the scenes stuff of them live, recording music and what his roll is, what it means to the others and more info about how much he does behind the scenes that we never see… it’s crazy… he basically is the only person doing almost every chorus… no other vocalists lol just his layered vocals and love they have the other vocalists sing on top of his harmonizing vocals to make them more full…. He’s got a great ear for music and his harmonies with the vocalists and also the rap line is so good but his adlibs are just always elevate the song bc of how he does them… think you’d like the content of both of these to get a better idea

Suga explained on a Korean talk show that when they came to the US in 2017 for the AMAs, their US TV debut, the huge reaction made them realize that that would only be the start of their success worldwide. They are very humble and take the responsibility of fame very seriously, so they had to take a break to figure out if they wanted to continue or not. I think that speaks volumes of them as artists. A lot of people wouldn't have thought twice about gaining fame. Yes, they're the biggest group in the world now. Actually, they were the bestselling artist in the world last year (IFPI). They're Korean, though, and they've said that they feel like aliens in the Western music industry. They're happy with the fame and everything now, though. After giving it thought, they realized that this is what they want and their bond with ARMY is unprecedented. It's really hard to explain how close it is. Jungkook practice on his voice by himself from debut up till now , but when he was trainee he take vocal lesson from coach And other bts (member Jimin , Taehyung , Jin ) takes vocal lessons when they needs up till now . Jungkook is the only who don't take vocal lessons after debut on purpose bcs he said in an interview that he did not want to lose his voice color/ style by focusing on Vocalization. He said that first he wants to sticks to his style and wants to improve by practicing himself . He did awsem job you will find him anytime singing anywhere, he is so passionate for singing. He becomes so effortlessly professional singer.He is so versatile in singing. He was the only member who had singing experience before joining bighit. He was good singer from start age of 12 or 13. In 2011 he joined bighit and become trainee and debut as Main Vocalist in 2013. As a Main vocalist he has many talents and responsibilities. Most of the background vocals , adlibs, harmonization are done by him. He also record vocal guides tracks for bts songs (vocal guides are like demo which gives direction how to sing specific melody, runs or notes) He also gives advices to other vocalist in the group if they need help. In Euphoria he also add adlibs and runs himself. There is another version of Euphoria Dj swel version . And there is video of him recording Euphoria and he is telling the producer to add the adlibs or runs in that part. He is very talented from very young age . He also wrote and produced his First song in 2015 at age of 17 Love is not over . Then so on.

Jimin is taking vocal lessons from the trainee period that's why his vocals improved so much. other member ( taehyung , Jin along with jimin ) Still takes vocals lessons if they need. jungkook after debut didn't take vocal lessons on purpose he said in interview bcs he did not want to lose his own style.he said from since he is practice himself.

@@lyna2559 no he doesn’t… it’s why he says ge prefers to practice just by himself bc he didn’t want to lose his style. His way of doing it kept his style but gave him time to progress overtime without losing his vocal personality. Jungkooks style of sining is not common for those that truly know his vocal diversity… people get confused bc how he sings changes so effortlessly and it’s not something easy todo at all… also how he chooses to mix in vocal colors and textures make his voice sound so different all the time but constantly improving. He said he built his technique up himself and he started with more skill and control than the other vocalists even though they were all good… but even though he was a baby.. his voice, raps and dance helped him earn that “center” spot for performances … the others definitely have grown so much especially from where they started… it’s rady bc I think they’re all pretty far above average as vocalists as a line… jk just has elite technique and style… he breath control and vocal stability are second to none… interesting kid lol

Kookie's voice is so smooth and angelic. How is his voice so consistent, even when in the air? I can't imagine the amount of work he has put in to get this good. Purrfect performance :) I swear most of BTS live performances, at least the videos I've seen, sound better than the studio versions.

They almost disbanded in 2018. In 2017 they blew up even more in America and just globally. With fame comes hate and that took a toll on them. Not to mention personally some of the members went through a lot. For example, Taehyung lost his grandfather and friend that year. Mentally they were all struggling.

Also “my time” has a similar high note but in a completely different vibe and way lol I think it would be interesting to see him do “my time” live in black leather or the skin tight red suit with slicked back black hair and undercut….. there’s only two live performances bc quarantine happened before they toured with that song… but it’s definitely jungkook showing he’s not little baby jungkook anymore and he’s a grown ass man! 1 thing though Jimin has people to help him with vocal lessons. In many instances he has talked about it Misconception came was when they were on tour and during the tour, because of the dates, at that time they couldn't get a vocal coach but lot of people misinterpreted it as if he is not given the opportunity to take vocal lessons

jungkook helps them with singing alot. that is part of the reason they sound so amazing. cookie does adlib, background singing, he even lays down tracks for them to practice on. cookie is amazing for all the work he does for the group. they all do their part tho and they have worked so hard to get where they are today. i cant think of anymore deserving group then them

I wanna clarify that comment at 10:20 ! They didn't want to disband in 2017, but in 2018 they were thinking if they should resign their 7 year contract or not. (They cannot just disband whenever) Yes, they were scared of their succes, some more than the others. Suga talked about his fears in a few songs. He also shared that after they got to perform at 2017 AMAs, he cried in the shower the same night because he was so terrified! In 2018 the time when we got the LY: Tear album with many emotional songs. At the awards shows that year they gave a speech snd shared their thoughts about disbandment, and everyone cried. Luckily, they resigned their contract in 2020, and are still very passionate about music and performance 🥰 (sorry for the lengthy comment)

You can tell that he is ABSOLUTELY not afraid of heights (see his bungee-jumping video) - most of us would clench up and have trouble breathing being hoisted up and dropped down like this, and he's relaxed, breathing freely AND pushing out those smooth, strong tones at the same time. Oh my friend famous opera singer was in the Sidney opera House was singng while hanging from the ceiling in a full body contraption and custom. It's of swung round and he was facing the backdrop and had to continue in character and sing while holding in desire to laugh. I remember him telling me about it and I later saw the televised production on BBC One our national TV company . He's written 2 autobio about his life as a famous British opera singer. So when I see Jungkook flying through the air I think you are so brave anything could happen.

As someone from Germany, I've definitely seen some interesting reinterpretations of operas. I didn't know that it's a typically German thing though. We once went on a school trip to the opera (10th grade, I think) to see 'Carmen' and for some reason everyone was naked and climbing chain-link fences. It is true in the fact that they considered disbanding (it was early 2018 however) because their success was starting to get overwhelming. It comes from the perspective that- the chances of bts getting big in Korea was slim simply because of the fact their company was smaller meaning they did not get as much opportunity as groups from bigger companies. But when they started getting really big here in the west it quickly became too much-> I think it was around the time that they first performed at on live TV in America (late 2017) that they had to take some time to figure out if they wanted to continue to keep going or if it was time to hang up the towel. They took a break around that time and they decided to continue with their careers thankfully, but it does sadden us knowing how close we were to losing them :(

If you compare his live peformances from 2013 and now you see the clear progress and change in his voice. He embraced his unique tone and hones it as time goes. He is still young and he will continue develop his voice

Maybe that person saw that documentary where they were on world tour and JK was trying to give advice to Jimin because Jimin felt himself that he was struggling with something in his singing. JK said something about not being able to go to a teacher about it. But I think that was to do with being on world tour. A while ago Suga went for some vocal coaching so they certainly are able to get it.

it's not true that they almost disbanded in 2017, bc they were scared of their success... they discussed disbandment in 2018, bc they were going thru hard times. they weren't in the best place mentally, the amount of hate and pressure they had then as a group not to mention their personal struggles as Tae lost his grandfather, the de*th threats everything just cumulated in them. rap line wrote the song "outro: tear" for this exact reason the song express their fear of being torn apart and the pain that it'd cause

JungKook said in many interviews he stopped taking vocal lessons after they debuted in 2013. He said he worked by himself singing every moment he was awake. He says he is aware he lacks vocalization, but he does not want to take lessons about it and lose his style. He found his own voice and does not want to change it.

Not that they were terrified of success but their contract was about to end. Jk and Hoseok wanted to leave. In the new doc, rise of Bangtan, you can see him talking to an idol from another group shinwa who's been around like almost 20yrs. They would have put faith in themselves and started all over. Instead they got a good contract, shares in big hit, and got more creative control. They did a whole album by themselves from directing to producing. That album is Be. The visual director was V.
